It was a great day, April 5th, on Navajo Nation Fairground in Window Rock (not Fort Defiance). We have started with five sweat lodges, songs, prayers and bufallo stew at the Kids' Sundance Grounds, and finished visiting the Window Rock Sacred Place, and joining the Navajo Gourd Dances and a beautiful Pow-wow hosted for the Longest Walk 2 at the heart of Diné Bikéyah. Ahe'hee'!
my heart goes out to all those on the walk. both on the northern and southern route. my prayers go the the staff carriers, runners, walkers, drivers, cooks, elders, grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters, sons, daughers, grandchildren and so on.
it was an honor to sing this song besides bonita and andrea. holding their hands while moving to beat. it also makes my heart proud to see my sister rhi rhi. miss you all. stay strong!
