There is a possibility that they could be defeated eventually, but it is just too risky to hand land over to a recognised terror organisation. It's not only about the Palestininas want - of course they want a state, but it's largely about the safety of a future state and who will govern it. A Palestinian state cant turn into a Israel-hating machine.

Okay, I just watched it all, and Lerner is nothing less of a hatemonger. He had that throwaway line that suggested Israel is fighting the war because they think non-Jews are worthless or something. While some people, in every single religion, including Judaism, believe this nonsense, he just accused an entire country of it. That's like me saying that the entire white population of the United States hates blacks. Or that the Iraq war was fought because the US hates brown people.

I just watched 58 seconds of this video (yes, I do intend to watch all of it in a minute) but I gotta respond. I love the whole "love, caring" angle here. I say let us all be loving to anyone who intends to kill us. Someone has a knife at your parent or child's throat? Just show them love. Don't blow the perp's head off. Don't defend yourself.
