  • It would've been better if you stepped on both of them and started going up and down like you're on a treadmill!

  • sounds to me like the bad horse has a lot less of a throaty sound

  • black guy screaming. im convinced to watch the whole video (Y)

  • WHEN ARE YOU PUTTING UP MORE VIDEOS.

  • why didnt you stpe on both wahs at the same time?

id really like to see that...

  • I own both these wah's and I recommend the BH2 over the Tremonti. The BH2 is more natural sounding and far more versatile because you can switch to the contour wah for a different sound so its two wahs in one. The BH2 beats the Dunlop GCB 95 as well.

  • Thats awesome dude. I got the Bad Horsie 2 which is far more better than the other. As they said, The Tremonti is based on the Bad Horsie but just added the boost which I don't really need. Nice Reviews dude

  • excellent demo - best way comparison I've yet seen on youtube.

  • Wow lol I guess I'm the odd one out hah. I seem to like BH2 better. It's more subtle in my opinion. But hey it's preference right? \m/

  • Che flaco qué corno hacés con la remera de Boca Juniors de acá Argentina?

Hey dude, what the hell r u doin' with a Boca Juniors T-Shirt of here Argentina?

  • EEYY ! you came to argentina, don't you?? Boca ..

  • Mizike, you are a really huge help! Thinking over which I buy, you´re vid is the best advice I can get!! Ok....-.-...except to play them in a store :) The only question for me is now to compare the Ibanez WD and a Morley.... Hav a nice day!

  • Just now ordered the Tremonti wah from sam ash. can't wait to get.

  • What is the difference between the tremonti power wah with the tremonti wah?

  • @brownhog72 hi there im a bassist and i use quite alot of wah. my Morley Volume/Wah had ceased working so i need to get a new one. would u say its worth getting the Mark Tremonti one? I know Rob Trujillo uses one

  • @bassplayrCL I actually went to guitar center earlier and got me a Tremonti pedal for my bass, and I had just discovered that myself today about Trujillo too lol. I tested it with Call Of Ktulu and it sounds totally beast!

  • Thanks a lot this vid was really helpfull. Do you know if the bad horsie 2 can be used with bass aswell as guitar because I'm trying to find a dynamic wah that can handle both.

  • @RoCkErX285 I have used a Crybaby bass wah with my guitar and it worked great

  • Man...you rock!

The power wah of my master Tremonti is the better!!! I have one

A yo of your brazilian brother !

  • Aww DUDE I always love seeing a Dean Guitars user! Makes a change from all these videos featuring Ibanez... :P Great comparison vid man :)

  • good review bro, thanks!

  • Nice. The Horsie definitely has more soul for the cleans. Like them both for distortion

  • Go Boca Juniors !!!!!

  • is that an esp guitar?

  • see you have a Lynch strat...check out his Morley Dragon wah...think you'll like it better than these two....great reviews as usual!!!

  • I'm gonna try one soon, but the the "switchless" feature kinda confuses me a bit, if you press your heel to high the wah will turn off? or is it turned of only after you put your foot out of the pedal?

  • Tremonti's was WAY better!

  • Sweet Sevendust poster in the background..also..Mark's wah is a little better in my opinion

  • Hands down Mark Tremonti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vai's sounds sterile. Unless you have his billion dollar rig. Tremonti's cuts through.

  • Dude wat Effects r u useing on ur Clean? cuz i love the sound ur getting.

  • What are you plugged into after your distortion pedal? The thing that looks like the night riider with the thing going back and forth lol

  • @brakingben4lyfe its just a chromatic tuner thats why it goes back and forth.

  • Dude you make the best videos. With these gear reviews theres something I always wonder, do you buy the gear yourself? Or does someone give you the stuff? And also is that an ESP?

  • finally some1 who does wah demos with distortion! im kind of over my 535q n hendrix wah . any suggestions? i play a lot of heavy stuff n using deans n marshall

  • wow i think ill just buy the bad horsie ^_^ it makes no sence gettin the g-lab by pas spad when a new wah is cheaper =l shame i like my vox

  • I got the Tremonti wah a few days ago and have been using it a bit.

I can confirm the Tremonti pedal is absolutely amazing.

The pedal is constructed superbly, the optical design is so smooth.

The wah sound is exactly what i'm looking for also,it actually sounds exactly like tremontis solos, especially when doing legatto runs.

    Highly recommend

  • thats a hell of alot of reverb

  • dude how do you get your cleans so clean on that mesa head? is that a reverb or delay? and what kind bc i want it! lol thanks!

  • i think the bad horsie sounds better in both cases, but either way i'm not a fan of optical circuitry, so i still prefer a fulltone clyde over these :)

  • @Erock09291 I think optical wahs are great in theory, but the sweep is just unnatural compared to the standard switch operated wahs

  • hi man! in the MT wah what is the function of the control? Is only a volume regulation or a distortion?

I'm italian so i don't uderstand all of your words in the video :S

    Thanks!

  • What's the song at the begining?

  • You are a genious, aguante boca juniors. That Shirt is old by the way, its a relic!!

  • Thanks! I bought them like 13 years ago!

  • Mizike, what's that switching system you have on your board?

  • Hey Mizike what u say about the Big Bad Wah compared to those 2?

  • BOCA JUNIORS, esta en todos lados

  • i've had the bh2 for about 4 years until it finally began giving me problem on the 1/4 inch output section, thus resulting in static on my clean tone. when contemplating a new wah pedal, i always prefer morley. between these 2 and given my style preference, im goin with Tremonti

  • dude thank you so much. I was really aiming for the bad horsie but.. I really like the hot tremonti power wah, i find it has a lot more flavor which doesn't hurt :p

  • The Tremonti is better to me.

  • Yo for real! Thx!

  • Hey man u are great, I think Mark Tremonti Wah is better for dirty tones too. I used many Dunlop and vox pedals and

definitely Morley is my best gear. Good overview-

  • Thank you. I sold the BH2 and kept the Tremonti. It was better.

  • @brownhog72 Do you know anything about the wahs that Satch and Vai use? Cos I love their wah tones on tracks like tender surrender, get the hell out of here, for the love of god etc. But I have noticed that Vai doesn't actually use his Bad horsie wahs when playing these songs live on several occasions.. What do you recommend for this sort of style? Thanks man :)

  • very accurate explanation between the two wah's i prefer the bad horsie for versatilty playing!thanks bro im buying it tom.thats why i looked for the demo.thanks very much again!

  • I own the steve vai bad horsie 1 wah and i love it but when i bought it i was actually looking for the mark tremonti and where i live everyone either didnt have the mark tremonti or just didnt carry morley all together but i do plan on purchasing the mark tremonti in the future but for now my bad horsie will do just fine

  • que haces con la camiseta de boca juniors?!??!?! jajajajaja que caaaapo!!!

  • Si, yo compro camiseta en Panama.

  • Nice! I own both of these wahs and what I am wondering is how you keep them so quiet hooked together. When I hook any other pedal in line with either of mine they buzz like crazy in the amp no matter what adapters I use, or even if I use batteries. I would hate to see what kind of noise they make hooked together.

  • dude, you have a t shirt from an argentinian soccer team, where did you get it?...

besides that, great explanation, I'm thinking on gettin' the MT model

  • I like the bad horsie wah alot better. Btw, nice setup man.

  • iv used dunlop classic to the 535q

i love them. the only thing i dont like about it is when you go to bend a hight note. like on the 18th fret. it doesnt wah it.

will the bad horsie 2 wah the high notes or no?

  • Wahs effects less on high notes..

it will effect, but much less..

  • what pedal will then?

  • maybe auto wah, I dunno, I don't think you can find a wah pedal that effects on high notes as much as the low notes, cuz wah is a treble boost.. and high notes are already has alot of treble.. (I'm not sure that's the reason, just that is what seems logic to me..)

  • do you use the wah, before or after ?

  • after overdrive, before the amp.

  • Boca Juniors, Argentina O.o

  • Have not tried the Tremonti but have used the BH2 for several years and has never failed me. It really IS well rounded. You can adjust the contour and level in BH2 mode. Another button turns off these characters and keep the pedal as a BH1. Which to me is better for the clean tone use. Highly recommend this pedal. Wouldn't mind trying the Dimebag Cry Baby from Hell though. Any opinions?

  • do u mike your cab(s)?

  • tremonti sounds like it has a little more highs and feedback, which is either a plus or not, depending on what you like.

  • Thanks for the vid. Really helped me decide which of the two I wanted. Think I'm going to go with the Bad Horsie.

  • Wish id watched this before i bought the tremonti several years ago. Totally right about its weakness when playing clean.

    Wish id bought a crybaby!

  • if you turn off the wah boost, it will be just fine on clean...

  • i just bought the bad horsie 2 on ebay i have not got it yet but i am waiting

  • i have a road king 4 ch can i switch from one channel to another with the Voodoo Lab Ground Control

  • yeah

  • BH2 all the way!

  • Thanks man that really helped me out. Nice gear too. Can i know what's in your rack? i see a korg dtr and a furman conditioner for sure.

  • is the MT spring-loaded as well?

  • yes

  • thanks for the reply :)

  • I play metal in a band , and the Tremonti wah does the work pretty god in my solos, my second guitarist has the Bad horsie 2 and that's true works better with clean sounds, I would recommend to get both.

  • the bad horsie sounds beautiful.... but the Tremonti in my opinion holds nothing to he EVH95 from Dunlop

  • lol i had to watch it again cos i was watchin the little light thingy on his rack mount go backwards and forwards

  • duuuuuude! what a cool and useful video! thnx for posting such great info! I own the Mark Tremonti Wah and I couldn't be happier! I really Like the intro song by Pudding Hogs! it's awesome, and BTW really love your Football jerseys!!! please keep those vids comin' bro! peace out

  • ok great demo, but i still can't decide which one to get!! i like them both! in your opinion, which is better?

  • for cleans BH2, for Metal MT

  • Yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man thanks 4 posting this vid man. I could not pick between between these 2 pedalz. I have 2 say I like the Mark Tremonti Wah

  • yo Mizike!!! of course I used to use the Morley pedal all the time. I love the switchless! Of course now I use the crybaby switchless...hell yeah, it screams...give it a shot. I use it on solo's for an eq boost. Just stomp the pedal full on and shred!!!! give it a shot bro...you will love it. Hurry back to Oki...I miss you man!

  • You'll be seeing my face next week as long as I can hop on that rotator!!!

  • I tried a Bad Horsie and it fed back alot. Is this common on Morley's pedals? It didn't sound like you were feeding back.

  • What power source did you use and where did you have it in your chain?

  • I used a cry baby power supply and it was the only pedal I was using (I tested it out in the store).

  • Kamelot are from Tampa, Florida. Most of the band members are American except for the keyboard player who is from Germany and Roy Khan the lead singer who is from Norway. He is Kamelot's second lead singer. You will have to check them out.

  • Have you heard of a symphonic power metal band called Kamelot?. What do you think about them?

  • I have not heard them, but as long as they are playing to express then I'm sure it is cool.

  • i have gibson and esp...i like my gibson explorer custom the best

  • u are the man bro proud to have you on my you tube subscriptions

  • yeah the tremonti sounds awsome but tbh it is rather trebly in the clean mode and i would use it for clean things like jimi hendrix so im guessing the bad horsie is an all round good wah

  • Your the man dude. Musiciansfriend or guitarworld or somebody should pick this up.

  • Hah! Is that a George Lynch ESP? I saw that at Sam Ash today...when I bought my Mark Tremonti Wah :-).....ironic......too ironic.............

  • Yes it is...fabulous guitar. I love ESPs.

  • Who in their right mind doesn't?

Best fucking guitars on the planet

    Then Dean/Jackson (Tied)

  • They are all good...just depends on your taste. I got all three and they all are good in their own right. Jackson is the best all around. Dean has the best necks and body styles, and ESP are more playable.

  • I feel Jackson is the best for the money, Dean does have the best necks, but ESP's are almost as good, and I like the ESP Body styles better

  • do both pedals come up the same speed, if you were goin in and out do they come up as fast you can move your foot i mean

  • Yeah, the spring is pretty strong you get off it goes up.

  • Your videos are so sick bro.

Whenever I'm looking into some new gear, you're usually the first one I go to.

I haven't been through all of your videos yet, so I'm not sure if you already did a review/comparison, but have you tried the Tremonti signature pickups?

I'm just curious if the hype about them are all they're cracked up to be.

  • They are pretty cool.

  • Is it just me or does "Hot Wah" sound like a sex act?

"DUDE! This chick TOTALLY gave me some hot wah last night!!"

  • Awesome!!! You gotta love that...made me smile.

  • Lol! Nice one! This totally made my day :D Great review too - After 2 months of consideration i finally decided to buy the Mark Tremonti wah :)

  • I have the Tremolti wah.

I would like to know your amp settings.

    Its awesome.

  • Check out my Mesa Recto vid...all my settings are there.

  • Great review. Good Man! Thanks.

  • Dude! I just ordered the Tremonti wah last night for a tax refund gift. im so excited! i want Tremonti's signature tone.

  • Awesome goal...I kind of model my rig after Tremonti's as well. Except i don't like PRSs.

  • well i really only want his signature guitar. its prolly the best guitar they make. im a singlecut and flying v fan myself. im think of purchasing ibanez's art300 singlecut. comes with active pickups.

  • i just received it today from ups and god this thing is the greatest wah in the world.

i recommend this wah to anyone for lead.

  • UPS sells Morely wahs?

  • noo!! they delivered it. lol

  • Lol

  • and any thing tremonti puts his name on is the best. he just needs his own signature mesa or bogner.

  • nooooooooooooo, i dont se how you dont like prs's but hey ur better than me so it must be working ous for you. but i reconmend that you try a 250 for you close the situtation.

  • The PRS I had just wasn't my type of guitar. They are pretty, but just not for me.

  • you dont like PRSs?? there the best guitars in the world period!

  • They just don't suit my hand for some reason...don't get me wrong, they are beautiful. The one I had didn't work for me once I started to advance. Just my preference...

  • ESP Guitars, any day.

    PRS is so overpriced....

  • your outta your head

  • ESP destroys PRS

    PRS's ARE EXTREMELY overpriced

They are good, but only suited for a few playing styles

Ever tried shredding on a Single Cut?

I have, and it was a fucking joke

  • hahahaha 99% of the ESP range is aimed at metal. Don't get me wrong, I love ESPs for metal. I have a PRS Tremonti USA which is a singlecut and I'm sure you will have seen him shred on 1 many times

  • Yea, and the Tremonti PRS is like 4 grand

For about 5-6 grand you can get a custom made ESP

And several ESP's ship with Duncan JB/'59 pickups, perfect for most styles

And I get almost any sound out of my ESP guitars, even loaded with EMG's.

    even some decent blues stuff.

PRS guitars are normally like twice the price of ESP guitars, and I find very little difference in quality

  • @superjesus117 Wait..you're talking about the PRS SE Series? Those are cheap..but they still cost about as much as a higher end Epiphone..But if you've ever played one of those real high end, unaffordable, Paul Reed Smith's...you'll wish you had the money..they are sick

  • @captainmorgan555

No I'm talking about like a 3grand single cut.

  • @superjesus117 Nope

  • @superjesus117 umm no... PRS is a much better company than shit ESP. PRS are much better crafted and play and sound much better. You get what you PAY for. And yes I shred on singlecuts all the time. ITS CALLED PRS SINGLECUTs. Ever tried too play an esp? You can't because they are fucking garbage.

  • you should stick the Gearge Lynch Dragon Wah in there to compare against the Bad Horsie and the Tremontti.

The Dragon Wah sounds awesome for distorted work.

  • I hear what you mean man, the Tremonti wah is extremely hot on the clean, I think I'll get the BH2, not only 'cause it's a Vai pedal, because it's more versatile for clean, great review!

  • Thanks for the review mate! Nice one.

  • good vid but i suggest you should buy a mic for guitar or use line out on amp to get more realistic sound because i think that this is with a camera mic or some crappy so it doesn't so good... but thanx though :)

  • Of all the videos I have done with the same camera, you are the first to complain about the sound. I'll work on it bro.

  • don't take it offensive or something like that... i just noticed it and to make your vids better i tried and gave you and advise :)

  • I'm not offended sir...I'll work on it. Thanks for letting me know. You are the first one to say something and I appreciate it.

  • ok... though your reviews are really good and i like them :) keep on... :)

  • RIGHT ON!!!

  • hey man!! thanks for this stuff. I like your style dude YO!

nice gear too... how much can i buy a bad horsie for?

  • You should be able to find one on ebay for about 100 bucks or so.

  • Devin Townsend was born May 5th 1972. Were you born the same year?

  • yes, one month after him. I'm not older than him then.

  • Dude... this is a great demo. Thanks a lot! 5*

  • lol. If they pull the chicks then i'm gettin' one! SOLD! lol. \m/_

  • There is a video of him on here talking about his guitars, amps, strings, cables and other gear and also playing some stuff. I think it is called Devin Townsend- Instructional Video. There are two parts.

  • I saw it a long time ago. He's cool

  • Would you consider SYL's music as being a mix of thrash and death metal or a mix of other metal styles?

  • I think it is a mix of metal styles...good stuff though. Too bad he had to stop.

  • Yes I know both of Devin townsend's bands are not together anymore. He is 36(will be 37 years old soon) years old and is now producing music and spending time with his wife and his baby son.

  • I was actually suprised to see that I was older than that guy a while back.

  • Sup brownhog? What is a good way to get that expensive gear you got. i need to upgrade but im not rich so can you help me.

oh and if you would not mind rating my vids too.

    I really appreciate it.

  • Depends on how old you are and what kind of job you have. I am 36 years old and I have a really good job. This is my hobby so after I save money, invest, and pay my bills my left over cash can be used for fun. Main thing, don't waste money on cheap gear. Save for the good stuff because you will never get rid of it. Also, don't smoke and drink your money away. Work hard so you can play hard! If you have any more questions let me know.

  • thanks for the advice. i appreciate it.

  • What amp you using bro'? Sounded surprisingly thin considering you were using a Strat!?! You're playing was good tho', so it aint that ! \m/_

  • It might have sounded thin to you because of the pickup configuration I selected. I was using the single coils so I was actually going for a thinner sound with the ESP by selecting that pickup for the blues sound. It has nothing to do with the amp. By the way...the amp is a triple rectifier. By no means is it thin.

  • Yeh triple rec's are as beefy as it gets. Sry i didnt notice it was an esp dude. I was expecting the fullness of a strat so thats prob why i thought it was thin. Well, that and the pickup configuration. Good demo anyways man. \m/_

  • No worries bro. That guitar has pretty big sound. The single coils give the thinner sound so it is much cooler for playing the music that soothes the panties off of the ladies!

  • awesome review!

  • Thanks for the great review, how can I buy an mp3 of the the Puddin' Hogs intro music? <-- cool!

  • Sorry bro, that band is no longer alive.

  • You can check him out on youtube.

  • Have you heard of Devin Townsend? He is a Canadian guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. He plays guitar and sings for his current band called the Devin Townsend Band which is a progressive rock band and he also plays guitar and sing for another band called Strapping Young Lad( has been on hiatus for a few years now) which is an extreme metal band that mixes thrash and death metal.

  • Yeah, I saw SYL back when I lived in Georgia about 10 years ago. Devin is a good guitar player...rockin the skullit!

  • bad horsie better

  • what kind of guitar are you using in this demo

  • ESP GL-56

  • Will you be seling the Mark Tremonti Power Wah or will you be keeping both the Bad Horsie 2 Wah and the mark Tremonti Power Wah?

  • I use both of them. The Tremonti is better when playing distortion, but the Bad Horsie is better when playing cleans. So I won't be selling them.

  • Great review, as always. ^^

  • Nice Tests ;) Thx!

  • mark tremonti just kills, absolutely screams on the pinches and whines on the high notes, has a sweet 'beep' on the low shit

the bad horsie 2 is bad ass too, not as unique sounding, didnt steve vai contribute to it?

all in all, MORLEY PEDALS FOR LIFE

all optical shit for low noise and smooth operation!

  • hmm i like the bad horsie 2 :P Hey man i really like your videos, and i hope nobody marks me as spam here but if you could check out my video, maybe comment it would be sweet. Im gonna be making more videos soon so yeah man rock on! P.S i want your amp haha

  • gear chat kicks ass!!

im lovin the look of your rig, where did u get the case for the mesa head and the effects?
