on breakaways and shootouts, he smart...he lifts the puck to get it over the goaltenders pads. Most players put it into their pads, even with an wide open part of the net.

Gionta is the man, i played hockey with him a few times, he went to Boston College with friends of mine. i live 5 mins form B.C and been to a few parties with him. i was happy he got Drafted by the Devils.. my fav team Scotty N and Scotty Stevens times were great. and your right Gionta is very under-rated. he's fast as hell and a great sniper.

i see u had the devils scoring goals on the worst teams in the NHL, so pretty much the devils are good when playing bad teams but suck with good teams
