Nakamura could call out one of the tough ufc guys on the street (no rules) to prove his JKD skills. Remember he taught his JKD is for people to defend themselves on streets when their lives are threatened. So, we want to see it really works.
It's Jiujitsu, Judo, Silate, Karate, Thaiboxing, Kun Tao (traditional style), escrima etc. All of these are found in modern day JKD which is a continually evolving art form. Do yourself a favor and read "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do" and educate yourself. You'll be a better person for it.

i understand that in fighting is as much physical as mental. i do a lot of physical work, i watch my nutrition not only for the fight but just to stay healthy and i do train mentally for fights and the other situations on my life like when a fighter has to accept pain and then disregard it, or when to block a move when and how. after so many years of training both mind and body everything turn into a reaction when i get in to the octagon
If Bruce Lee would still be alive, JKD would be different also. Its a Concept a changing art. He was total against tradition or "original". Watch the fight at the beginning of "Enter the Dragon". His private JKD was very different from his movie fights.But in this fight you can see how bring up "Vale tudo" or No-gi fights long before BJJ .He was the first how developed these open boxing gloves which you can grapple with. He emphases Grappling a lot and worked with Gene Labelle .

感想としてはBruce Leeの映画の中の格闘シーンの物まねをしてるだけですよね、この人。
ただブヨブヨした童顔の物まねおっさん。ワンパンでKO出来ると思うよ、わたし。

私先日ＩＵＭＡジークンドーの出稽古行って来ましたが、技術が洗練されているためか、老人でも強かったです。
フルコンタクト空手やキックではありえない光景でした。
肌で感じたのですが、技術的な完成度は私が今までやってたフルコンとは比べ物になりません。

In jeet kune do martial art , its teach you what you should not do,you can do anything you want but its does not teach what you should do, this video should explain the way what the real jeet kune do explain.A lot of peoples out there learn a bit of jeet kune do stuff and claim themself a jkd expert.They don know enough yet what jkd is all about, its a very deep art as Bruce Lee have study ''TAO'' a very deep meaning which have study in china for more than 1,000 years ago.

I've always been in fond of martial arts whatever it is for the techniques or philosophy . I love Bruce Lee since the first time I've saw him in a movie , when I was 6 . Now , I practice free fight and MMA for fun , and thanks to Jeet June Do's techniques I stay unbeatable. Also , I'm studying philosophy , and one day , I had the opportunity to speak about Bruce's philosophy in one of my work. I've obtain the highest mark , and thx to it I can obtain my baccalaureate now. Bruce , I thank you.

中村さんのお弟子さんでもあり、大変ご高名なエリック・パーソンさん(ＵＳＡ修斗)の総合ルールにおける試合を当然見ているのですけど、やはりグローブをはめての打投極のセオリーは、当然の如く この限りではないですよね。“型にとらわれない” のが、ジークンドーの思想哲学であることはあまりにも有名ですよ。

ジークンドーを思想として捕らえるならもし中村さんが実際の戦いのとき結果としてシューティングや他の武術の技で相手に勝ったとしてもそれは思想哲学としてのジークンドーの範疇に入るかもですね
ちなみに中村さんは初期のシューティングでジークンドーの技術を自分で研究して使って試合に勝ったことがあるとか

これは一状況における演武にしかすぎないのですよ。それで全てを判断してはいけないということです。BRUCE LEE’S FIGHTING METHOD の Self Defense Techniques 編 （1966年）をみると、複数の敵が待ち伏せしている場合、狭い場所で待ち伏せされた場合、相手がナイフや拳銃を持っている場合、他、あらゆるシチュエーションを想定した対処法が掲載されています。奥深くて面白いですよ。

ジークンドーにおける実戦イコール喧嘩もしくは護身総合における実戦イコール試合と考えるならジークンドーの技術だけ習得した人が総合の試合に出場してもお話にならないでしょう、でも中村さんの場合シューティングはもちろんブジリアン柔術の心得もあるから総合格闘技の試合に出ても弱くはないでしょう。

ミタチアカデミーはどうか知りませんが、中村さん管轄のＩＵＭＡでは修斗のグラップリングの練習も併行してやります。
ＩＵＭＡに関して言えば、実戦能力と競技能力両方兼ね備えた、ハイブリッドジークンドーと言えるのではないでしょうか。

@StL33T trust me i being doing mma for years now i have study 7 styles and perfected the 5 of them the 7 one is j.k.d. because i had to learn other styles before that to do j.k.d. i also have practice with k-9 fighter (pro) and i don't say that is completely fake but that is mixed. some of the moves he use are not moves from j.k.d.

JKD is the style of no style, saying these moves are not JKD is absurd. JKD has no restrictions. Everything is JKD. JKD is simply a style out of philosophy and concepts.

i know jkd is no style and is the intercepting of the fist. and that it was created for an actual fight and no for a sport but now it has change and people call it "style" jkd is a lot of styles put together but the original jkd didnt have as many moves as it has today the same in this video some of the grabling is not from the original but added i am not trying to be smart , my mma is not shallow and if you think it is then you wrong

............................ That has nothing to do with this. I have seen that video before.The moves shown here are not flashy whatsoever and there are minimal wasted movements. The "wrong" shown in that video does not refer to new moves created after Bruce Lee's death, it refers to unnecessary movement.

i might not understanding the philosophy or whatever you trying to say about jkd but i do know how to use it. the reason do so many styles is because i do something like ufc but not really wanting to go pro just for fun and the passion of mma if you think 32 wins and 4 loses in the 170 pounds category is bad or my mma is shallow then i have to see you to doing mma

Shallow martial artist does not mean a bad fighter. Martial arts is about physical just as much as mental. From your statements, I can only infer you are a strong fighter that lacks the intellectual aspects. (Assuming your record is not just some local fights with a bunch of newbies)

i understand that in fighting is as much physical as mental. i do a lot of physical work, i watch my nutrition not only for the fight but just to stay healthy and i do train mentally for fights and the other situations on my life like when a fighter has to accept pain and then disregard it, or when to block a move when and how. after so many years of training both mind and body everything turn into a reaction when i get in to the octagon

If Bruce Lee would still be alive, JKD would be different also. Its a Concept a changing art. He was total against tradition or "original". Watch the fight at the beginning of "Enter the Dragon". His private JKD was very different from his movie fights.But in this fight you can see how bring up "Vale tudo" or No-gi fights long before BJJ .He was the first how developed these open boxing gloves which you can grapple with. He emphases Grappling a lot and worked with Gene Labelle .

ジークンドーの膝への蹴りと貫き手（ﾋﾞﾙｼﾞｰ）での目付きは自衛隊の格闘術を紹介する動画でも自衛官が似た技術をやってました。それだけ実戦的ってことですよね。
ちなみに自衛隊の動画はわたしのお気に入り動画にあるんで興味があるひとは見てみてください。
