  • The EGBABONEHIMWIN dance has been the cultural dance of Esan people of the Edo state. You must be born there to hnow to do this effectively. As for CAPOIRA of Brazil.it is quite clear, straight from west African accestors, possibly tied around this EGBABONEHIMWIN ESAN DANCE.KANDONBLE of Brazil or orishe of Cuba are tied to the yoruba's origin.Major numbers of the slaves were from the west African coast Camenroon--Mauritania,i tkink DNA Test has proved that.CHEERS.

  • I am from Benin City,i think you are refaring to IWEGBU CULRURALDANCE from somewhere in the then midwestern State. The music that accomplish the box is quite chilling,i remember i saw them at Ogbe stadium in Benin city ,during one of those Midwest state cultural festival(it was bi-anual events then).i tkink they were from the eastern the part of the then Midwest State.Somebody from that part Nigeria should throw more light on this mystic fantastic African cultural display.

  • go to dailymotion dot come, add it in proper way i mean the website direction adn search for timmynaija there.you will have to search for a video on my videos there title African Dance vs Hiphop Dance..

you will see what i mean.

  • this looks like an anambra dance(igbo)....i'm anambra ani've seen something similar before!

  • i know what you mean, this is not just from edo like i did stated before this is dance that have been in generations from the south, east and the west in nigeria.i have seen it in igbo, yoruba and more.remember from the begining we almost started the whole kingdom in a single place but later people started what they call misunderstandings and disagreement, and that led to people fleeing and moving far away from each other but still had their tradition and culture with them, thats why we have dialets.

  • yeah you are probably right about the dance being generated from different parts of nigeria but nigeria was never almost started at a single place because we were all very different people.igbos obviously very different from hausas and yorubas and vice versa.we all came from different descendants with very different traditions, only thing is that the south and east have alot in common like their dialects, and that is becos some people of the south started from the east and migrated to the south.

  • @ikn001...............Broda's this dance is strictly Esan dance it originated from a hunter who normally goes out at night for hunting.............I'm an Esan Man Or Ishan, Ishan is the translated form from the white colonian masters.
