Not bad. I prefer to use a heat gun. It will only take a couple mins to heat up the head instead of 20. But i only use a heat gun to pinch if i already have the mesh in. I'll bake it if no mesh.

Nice Also when pinching it make sure it is never pinched more narrow than a ball if you want to use it in a game. Pinching a head usually also flattens the scoop so if you don't like that beware. Its possible to completely ruin a good head like this if you do it wrong as well.

@IH8H8ers123 yes, because the shape of the head also affects the stiffness. If you have a head with a stronger curve in the sidewall it will often be less stiff. However, this doesn't affect the stiffness too much, because the shape of the inner sidewall (like the triangles at an STX xcalibur) and the material also determine stiffness.

iight i got a brine answer and ive been like restringing it weekly. It will like work well for the first few days then it will get really inconsistant. Im using brine duramesh cause of the hold...but im sure thats wats making it inconsistant. Im switching to hard mesh but i need some good patterns that will give it hold and still throw well with not too much whip. Plz like message me some sidewall patterns along with shooting string arrangements.

@kapakman1 sidewall patterns are all pretty much the same idea... just make them a little looser where u want the pocket to be(i suggest a middle pocket). as for brine duramesh, i have never tried it... i always use hard mesh. For shooting string arrangements, i use a u shooting string, a straight across, and a nylon straight across. they should get consistently looser. if u want more whip, tighten them. if u want less whip, loosen them. hold will come the more u use your stick.

hairdryers take way too long, i bake my head at 300F for like 5 min. tie that shit up and put some pencils in there. let the oven come down to about 200F. pop it in for another 5. freeze it for a couple of hours. but still keep the head tied. you can repeat the process again to be certain that fugger wont come undone but it should be good unless you have a really flimsy head to begin with

Just finished pinching my stick this way. Heated it for 25 min and then put in the freezer (with the string and wooden thingy still on) for 2 hours, removed the string and wooden thingy and so far so good. Just make sure when u take out of the freezer that the head feels solid and not very bendable. :)

okay the easy way, blow dry the head for 20 minutes ( you can even leave the mesh and strings and what not on) then put clamps on the parts that you want to be pinched. while it is still warm from the blowdrying, put it in the freezer for about 1-2 hours. take clamps off, and at first it will look soooo messed up, but once it begins to defrost, it will take its shape. i did this to my head lastnight, and so far so good.

there is a much easier and quicker way

all you have to do is put it on a plate mesh facing up. then you put it in the microwave in 30 second shifts. After each shift you have to squeeze it together for 5 seconds then put it back in. Just be aware of putting it in to long because it my melt.

Instead of getting a hair dryer, you can boil some water, put the head in the water (you dont have to unstring it) and you leave it in the water for like 10 minutes. then do this process (minus the blow drying part) I think its a lot easier.
