I had a friend on a motorcycle that was hit from behind when the illegal immigrant failed to stop. He suffered broken bones and was in the hospital for 2 months. I had a friend on a motorcycle that was hit from behind when the illegal immigrant failed to stop. He suffered broken bones and was in the hospital for 2 months. He is fortunate to be alive today, as for the illegal immigrant he was just deported, no money, no insurance and he only paid I'm guessing few hundred for the 83 datsun pickup truck that he rear ended my friend with. No justice was sertved at all. I support McCain in 2008!!!

The illegal immigrants will come over regardless, making them pay taxes and giving them jobs that track w-2 reports will help the current tax payers afford insurance, since we won't be subsidizing there health care. When was the last time you went to the ER and looked around. I live in Chandler, AZ and everytime I have to go to the hospital, sicne my Dr. is closed on weekends, I see a waiting room full of hispanics that don't even speak english, most (not all) have no insurance.

So you tell me that when your children get sick, and going to the hospital, paying a $50 co-payment, plus 10% of the total bill (that's my plan) and to top it off waiting for 3.5 hours in the waiting room is fair? While your paying to wait and they are not?Mccain realizes that even with a 10 foot border they will still get in the country via smuggling. These people are going to pull the U.S. down too. What is the matter with expecting a person who comes to our country learn ENGLISH? It is our language. While living and working in Germany I learned Germany. I didn't even plan on staying there as long as I did. During the 10 years I spent in Germany I learned to speak German and spoke the language. It's true that Mexico is an anti-immigrant country that shoots people on sight when found crossing the border and which immediately deports people without documentation (usually an IFE card). But that's Mexico's failing. Do you think we should copy that system? The US over the past 200 years has surpassed Mexico precisely because we've had a system more open to econimic innovation and to immigration.
Immigration has made us strong and will make us stronger.

Contributions, let's see Professor George Borjas of Harvard and the studies done there reveal that unskilled, illegal immigrant labor creates a net cost of $22,000 dollars per year, per illegal alien in terms of min. taxes paid (which most get back if they pay at all), and the cost of public education, health care, and access to untold amounts of public servcies and benefits (many of which are accessed through the use of felonious acts of identity fraud).
