  • who else laughed when she said roosterprick? LOL

  • Im glad they never went to that play, it seems kinda weird and awkward.

  • Is that St. Stephen's Cathedral?

  • I think Jesse would be perfect if his body language wasn't so...sloppy. :P

  • handsomest bum I've ever seen....

  • I think about the scene where they stare at each other at the end, when he asks to "take her picture", when he tells her about the Quaker wedding. So much happens when the eyes meet.

  • I never get tired of watching this movie, I already watched it 5 times.

    LOVE IT

by the way I'm a 19 year old boy

  • @MrInternetDude glad to know boys my age aren't all mindless, hormone crazed jerks... (sorry for generalizing)

  • @NiceView23 No need to Apologize im glad to see some sense in people too

  • i don't know why but i like when coupleish people fight...when they fight in a very classy and intellect way

i want to see a hobo write a poem....im going to vienna

  • pretty sophisticated form of hobos that vienna possesses. i'd much prefer a poem in exchange for dough as opposed to just the usual arrangement.

  • myyy... milkshake brings all the boys to the yard!

  • One questions... What happened to their luggage... 0.o?

  • @Lolzatyourfacemoo they must've left that in the station, not sure.

  • @Lolzatyourfacemoo

You can pay to lock your bags in lockers at the station. It's very convenient.

  • @Lolzatyourfacemoo after they get off the train they put it in a locker. watch the scene.

  • @ 0:10 I don't like that character of Ethan. Linklater could've made the script more wise. Just saying.

  • @blackknightpc i think you're looking for phuckedtube, my man. this is youtube. i hope this helped some. be well..

  • "trou de cul" do you know wht does it meas jess?????????? hahaha at 00:30

  • I just wondered if the ringing bell from about 1:40 onward is supposed to indicate and remind them that they are running out of time.

  • @nostalgicnineties yeah friend the notion of time

  • The guy's kind of a d-bag. I love the girl though; she's so down to earth.

  • I wonder if that poet wrote: "I drink your milkshake, I drink it up."

  • 8:25...the way she behaves like a army general trying to discover her boyfriend's weak points...that is totally me!!! I know it is bad but I guess I'm trying to protect myself.

  • @IloveRichardArmitage Nope, you want to control him and conquer him. As long as he resist and does not give in you are into him when he looses sight for a moment and begins to give into or in other words when you conquer him you loose interest and dump him. As long as you do not get the upper hand the relashionship lives when you you do it is over. Or conversely he gets bored and dumps you. Food for thought perhapes?

  • Europe is the best continent in the world,i'm very proud of being European!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • reading your nickname, your comment makes a lot of sense.

  • hhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahaha

  • hehe that fortune teller was high on something damn!

  • Is this the way Europe really is?

Because I leave for Spain in a few months.... And in this movie it is so beautiful...

  • I wouldn't count on it...

  • @Muckbird1234

Well, yeah, I expect people who are nice and some people who aren't. I'm not stupid, but I would like to travel before anything else. And if this is the way Europe is then I'm ready! I'm ready for the good and the bad! ====)))))))

  • Well, if you're expecting to meet a handsome, surprisingly educated American/beautiful Frenchwoman on the train and street artists, i.e. palm readers and poets approaching you on every corner whilst having genuine, honest intentions, I'd assume that you will be greatly disappointed. Although I don't exactly live in one of the cultural centres of Europe, the films perception of it seems over romanticized and I can say with some authority that it's the same shit here than everywhere else.

  • @Muckbird1234

LOL. What? No of course! I would like to check out their clubs and thier art though!

  • I can't imagine clubs over here being that much different from the ones on the other side of the pond. And as for art...puh, dunno. Not exactly a subject of great interest to me.

  • @Muckbird1234

Well, I'm sure Europe should have some clubs! And I like art.

  • I'm a well travelled European, lived around and have visited most of the countries in the continent and can assure you that you will have an amazing time in Europe. It's rich in art and cultural diversity, every street has a rich history in one way or another. Where in Spain are you heading? PS.. the clubs and bars are second to none in most places - i'd recommend Croatia for that scene right now.

  • Its not in Spain , its in Austria ( in the city of Vienna )

  • 3:31 is like a homage to the film "Harold & Maude".

  • this film only could have been made in times b4 facebook and internet...

  • "trou du cul" ;D

  • Her yelp at 0:30 sounds just like Michael Jackson. "OW!" lol

  • haha at 0.32 she says asshole in french

  • Milkshake.

  • i just realized the sexiest trait in a girl....insightful...its not funny, or smart, or pretty..its insightful..thats what makes a girl interesting..granted shes a character written by some insightful ppl but she plays it well nonetheless

  • thats true...but really small % of man realize that.

  • That's true, but it evens out, only a really small % of women are actually that insightful.

    :)

  • I can't say anything but...I agree :)

  • yeah..thats what we call inner beauty...:)

  • @stanky212 hhhhm and jet I doubt you would be saying the same if she was a fat and ugly girl. Not trying to put you down or anything it's just we humans make up so much romantic nonsense and such unrealistic ideals and then get angry when the world or people don't live up to them. Embrace reality is to embrace humanity is to embrace our own vanity.

  • @jay123tysk sad but true... ya never look for the most unattractive person in the room who has the best personality

  • @stanky212 Sure it's conducive to decent scripting... but I wouldn't fuck a girl cause she's insightful.

  • @stanky212 I wish more guy's were like you. Girls don't want guys trying to be "badass". We want guys who can show their feelings, and who look at girls as interesting and thinking people, and not as "toys". Thank you for being such a guy, it makes my day.

  • @stanky212 I read Julie Delpy wrote alot of her own dialogue for this film. She's great.

  • however on the other hand haha oooook

  • his voice-off comments always make me laugh. i don't know if anyone notices, but he's always off screen and it's like a transition type moment when Jessee says something regarding his reaction of the Europeans. Like in this one he said, "I like this Viennese version of the bum" hahah I found that so funny.

  • I love this movie so so so so so muchhhh!!!! It's so interesting.beautiful & My favouriteee..=) Always watch this movie..♥

  • i love travelling .... i know that when i travel and meet people for only a few hours or a night, it tends to be more meaningful conversation and connection then i've EVER had with any of my friends back home. it's beautiful. i can't wait to travel again!

  • where can i find a girl similar to celine? lol.

  • here i am!

  • those girls are everywhere, but i bet they are the mature, nice, quiet tyupe not many guys pay attn to

  • @punkofmudd Then theyre not like her.

  • @punkofmudd or lesbians :)

  • @punkofmudd This is true. Not to blow my own horn, but I am one of them.

  • This movie is so...honest and pure. I was so taken aback at how simple it is yet so moving. You really felt a connection with their conversations.

Maybe because...it's the way the actors played these characters well. So much sincerity in them. I'm glad there's a sequel. And I hope they made the 3rd (or a fourth) one...soon.

  • I loved the homeless poet. One of the best parts of the movie.

  • Also one of the unrealistic ones ;-)

  • I love how she mentions that she's glad she doesn't know anyone that would tell her about all "the bad things you do" to Jesse.

Then in Before Sunset in that song, there's the line "I hear rumors about you, about all the bad things you do"

I just find that interesting, haha. I wonder if she wrote that line on purpose, or it was a coincidence.

  • he tried to go quaker on her but she looked away, i don't think she is aware of his attempt however but you can tell from his expression afterwards that he was like 'i'm a friggin idiot'

  • I think she got it, that's why she looks away

  • i like the quaker wedding - very zen

  • Jesse: *kick*

    Celine: Ahhhh! Trou de cul!

    hahahaha.

  • what means Trou de cul!

    can you translate it please?

  • Remienok:

hahaha, i think trou de cul = a**hole.

  • @Remienok

It means asshole. Hole of ass, literally translated.

  • I want to be a Viennese street poet. :) Milkshake, lol.

  • Lol, can I tell you a secret..

    *kiss :D:P:P

  • europe is the most romantic and beautifull place to travel in the world...you'll feel like you belong in their history and their history lives w/ you!.

wow i wanna go to spain, the land of my ancestors.

    viva la espania!

  • in this movie vienna seems to be a city of weird persons

  • oh man he pisses me off!!!!!!!

  • Oh man, this is the first time that I watch this film. And up to this point Ethan is so boring, such a smartass sucky slimy guy. I really hope he will LEARN by the end of the movie

  • Really?? You don't like Jesse? I love him, I'd love to find him in real life!

  • someone asked whether or not I had viewed any love movie. i looked past but couldn't come up with an answer then. this movie reminds me of a very unforgettable experience.

  • my most favorite movie

  • If more girls were more like Celine ...we would have better and happier relationships in this world. Most Girls are too selfish these days....all they care is about dating a tall guy and that is it.

  • Comment removed

  • hast du den film auch auf deutsch?

  • nein...

    unskulle

    Enjoy the world!

    V for Verônica

  • "I like this Viennese variation of a bum". lol

  • i love how she remembers in such high detail all these places she's visited and things she's seen.

  • I wish strangers were like that guy around here. :(

  • yeah, me too.

  • Yeah that Quaker thing was cool! And they looked at each other for a while after he says that...

  • that's so cool, that poet just there. Its so romantic, or better say, romantisistic.

  • It seems as if they have known each other for years..........

  • Quaker weddings rock.

  • and then there's the cemetery scene, she fears it so maybe she talks about all the time to face her fears

  • it's so interesting that she keeps on referring to death. What does it mean?

  • Maybe because she feels it coming...her grandma dies.

  • I really wished she didn't. I have a love/hate relationship with the part in "Before Sunset" where they ask each other whether or not the other person showed up. I loooove the "looks" in this film:)

  • interesting theory. and the death of their time together, as well.

  • Enchanté George Seurat.
