The good news is that if your TL tranny was rebuilt or replaced after February 2005 it is the redesigned and upgraded 5-speed auto that had the larger oiling passages for 3rd gear clutchpack along with some other improvements which essentially resolved most if not all of the reliability issues with this transmission.

since this video was taken... I sold my g20 and bought toyota 4runner sport edition. the wifey took my runner and now, Im driving the tl. I lowered it (H&R springs) and HKS powerflow filter. I want to get used dual exhaust.
my g20 is a 1993 manual 5spd, 2.0, H4 and 140hp. my tl type s is 2002 260hp, with 5 spd automatic and 3.2 V6. really, I like my g20 more than my wife tl.
Thinking about upgrading to the newer G20Touring?....those things are really clean! They have a good motor too. I wanted one but couldnt find a nice black one... I picked up a black 2003 TL Type-S instead lol.

2001 Acura TL, 4D, 135k for $3,500
2000 Mercury Cougar, 180k for $2,000
The Acura is now getting a new paint-job, has a big dent on the rear drivers door, probably need 2 front new tires
The Cougar has a 3.5L, it's manual, and it Makes noise on the rear axle, needs all four tires replaced.

the 3.2tl is a darker blue...the type S is brighter

i got my tl at 170 since i bought and the transmission is great guyss i guess i was lucky .. :D n BTW it runs great

my TL is at 280K kms and no tranny problem, regular tranny flush maintenance have been done.
