Wow, Man you are really good! of course, you are not even close to freddie, but no one actualy is close to freddie. but wow, this is a really good cover!! i mean, AWSOME DUDE!
I think it's an insult towards Boh Rhap to discuss weither or not it can be performed live. Queen used the best techniques available to get as close to their own songs as possible, but anyone can hear that there are simply too many voices and instruments to play this song live.
All the high notes, the choirs and part of the orchestra were on tape when they played live.
Nothing wrong with that I think. The only consequence is that any live performance of this song will end up being an extract.
not too bad! I'm currently teaching this arrangement to my vocal ensemble. 16 pages of sheer win. Only thing that struck me was a few of the parts were missing parts throughout. I understand getting tired of working on the song though. It's an absolute beast of a song. Kudos for giving it a shot. When my kids get done with it, in another month or so, well record it and post it up.
Sorry for previous comment. I detract the missing parts. I was listening to it initially on my phone so it cut out some of the soprano parts. Good stuff. My kids enjoyed listening to it.
It's a tough song, I have a friend I went to school with who sang that high still does in his 40's, Sang in a known heavy rock band. He got nodes. Stills singing.
not casting away your words my friend.. i would like to point out that freddie murcury sung a lot more then i do.. a lot more.. rest assured i dont sing like this all the time like he would have on tours etc. beside im sure being a rocker of his time he got into some fairly heavey substances which wouldnt help with his vocal chords. i know a guy who sings perfectly (good technique and little strain) and he got nodes.. probably due to substance abuse etc in his younger years.
A great potential voice, but I reccommend you get classical training as soon as possible so you can stop destroying your voice with stress trying to hit those high notes, another thing it will do for you is even out the shift between chest voice and falsetto, creating head voice, a shift that will make your voice sound so much stronger.
probably some good advice but i can assure you my voice is not getting destroyed hehe. i think the problem is that by the time i got it right my voice was tired from so many takes.. you are right about my falcetto tho.. need to work on my head voice but im studying trumpet so i dont really have time. tho when your singing the high stuff like high soprano Bb its not really head voice anymore. some stuff in this is right on the end of my range too so im belting the shit out of it. thnx for comment
Freddie Mercury got Nhodes by singing the way he did, and he had less strain on his voice than you're showing at the current moment. Trust me, right now it may feel like you're invicible but you get tired easily, and it will only get worse. You will be regretting this, and don't forget or cast away my words.
this was freakin' AWESOME, dude! Excellent, excellent job. I've been playing music for years, and I thought I knew chords and so forth pretty well--- but there is NO way I could do this, not singing or playing or anything. You did great!
Mr.Sandman, bring me a dream....Bom bom bom bom! LOL.
