I have seen something like that in real life in Mexico that when I was a child my grandmother said they were called Mandragoras and were supposed to be plants who wanted to be humans that can actually be accomplished through magick, later in life I saw this movie Pan's labyrinth they talk about them there.

I think it's cool. It's like the wierdest tree I've ever seen and the coolest fruits I've ever seen. It really makes those old stories of women growing on trees more entertaining since you can see where the idea likely came from.

The fake ones are easy to find for a few 100 baht in Bangkok, now finding a "real" one is something else...

There is one temple that actually display two "real" makalipon fruit, and people do long trips to see them...give you an idea of how rare and precious those are...

There are many dried fruits that you can eat so I figured that if you ate this fruit, you could possibly gain some sort of spiritual enlightenment--or for it to have some sort of history pertaining to that.

It is some sort of natural plant, seem it look like a human being even when fresh.

For what i know the "ordinary" type of this plant make fruits that are shaped like a cucumber, but some very rare specimen make human-shaped fruits and are considered Holy
