I went to rehab when I was twenty one for alcoholism. I'm twenty two now and clean. My father is just now curing his addiction to alcohol for the first time since I was three. I'm proud of him and I refuse to sing the song goodbye to him or myself.

The boy is always in the back seat, his Dad is driving, and beside Dad is Granddad (Dad's dad), lost in alzheimers. Dad is taking his father to the old people's home. His son, the grandson, wonders during the voyage: "What if it was me in Dad's place, and Granddad was my Dad?"

I did my best to help him, but he never really whould listen to the dangers of the alcohol drinking! 2 years ago my father whent to leave holland to visit the dominicana republike to have a better life for his time, but after a mond of 9 in that country his bin killed! now his children took his problems with them|!! 10-10-10 is normally a date to married some one, but he was killed at that date. I only got his picture to look at, he's leggs where next to him and his arms to on the picture and

I really can't describe this song, it is unique in it's own way, I love it, it feels so real, it is real. It doesn't matter if you think the father has Alzheimer or is an Alcoholic, it doesn't matter if you think the boy is in agony or determined, You Understand It The Way You Feel It To Fit. @TehKillaTube My mom has passed on as well just over a year ago. She was only 54 .. Alcoholic Liver Disease.. IMO one of the worst ways to die. I was at her side through it all as her husband was also an alcoholic and not there for her at the end... @ MrtarantulaGR It's not easy, and he is lucky to have you.. Good luck.

This is so sad. That poor kid, I know what it's like to have a parent who is depressed and depends on a child at such a young age for almost everything. It's terrible, and it really hurts. To all those who feel that way, you are not alone and there is help out there for you. Just stay strong and you will get through it! ^__^ Haha.
