Especially in the original fight in this series, Bane throws Batman around a couple times not hurting him at all and then Batman takes his gas off and bam defeated. Bane was pathetic in this series, Nolans actually making him a threat, hes good at it

He spent most of his childhood in a prison somewhere in South America, where a priest there taught him to read. As a child, he carried this little teddy bear with a dagger stored inside of it, whom he named "Osito" (Spanish for "Little Bear"). He's also pretty much my favorite villain from the Batman series, next to Scarecrow.

Nolan makes his trilogy realistic, more mature and darker. Other products like comics, cartoons or Arkham videogame series show Batman more like in its origins or as the way he is known in popular culture. As I said, they are totally different.

It isn't like he has aimed to keep his characters as close to their comic book versions, he is after all trying to ground everything in reality which, in my opinion is a more original take than just simply copying everything. @Skeletonwitharaygun From what I gather, Bane in TDKR will be a brutal character allowed to go beyond a person's normal human limits due to the anaesthetic gas which his mask provides to keep him pain free from a very serious injury which he gets dealt with at some point explained in the movie.

Sadly with Nolan and his brother, that grounded reality has screwed up any mystery in Batman that they worked so hard to build up in Begins. Hopefully after Batman is "broken", they can get it back.
