  • holy fuck

  • lbp = the future of programming

  • You must have spent a freaking HUGE amount of time on this. Looks great - congratulations!

  • i played this it wasnt acctually good.... because i didn't know what to do... im dumb :P

  • He s

  • You have created...life!

  • @tehzombeh98 ...he/she needs a life LOL

  • @PancakeFlopOylmpics Hilarious, jealous because he's cleverer than you, or are you just one of those kids who thinks they're all hard?

  • @jeddit123 SURE I AM lol

  • .........Wtf

  • @PancakeFlopOylmpics Oh, so your one of those kids who thinks they're all hard

  • @jeddit123 for sure dude

  • Yo dawg, i heard you like computers, so we put a computer inside your computer, so you can program while you play video games.

  • This is now outdated. In LBP 2 you can put this entire thing in a micro chip. Good job though.

  • @craigstape He put all things in the back as one layer.

  • Are the developers of the game even aware of what kind of game they actually created? This and the Calculator are made by user content, and they make the final boss in story mode look like a worthless toy. These people made these out of desire, which sped up the process. You always finish something quicker if you greatly desire it. Well played, LBP players. Well played. ^_^

  • @IspodUxie44 but that means the Media molecule realises creators potenial and decide to create another game which has features that will allow you to make even more complex machines but make them compact and small, with the new microchip i dea they have :D

  • Wow... Mindblowing. Ill go check it out now xD

  • This makes me want to buy lbp again and try the user content....

  • how do people do these types of things

  • A mechanical computer simulated in a digital computer. My mind is blown. That must have taken FOREVER to put together! Bravo!

  • I can tell you are a Redditor.

  • Awesome, simply awesome. Let's hear it for toroidally-mapped cellular automata on LBP :-D

  • I love it when people actually know how to make amazing things in LBP. This is amazing!

My brother and I are making a hovercraft that uses calculus to truly hover.

  • LOL ... you're a hardware engineer no? Well.. nicely done, specially considereing the limitations of lbp...

  • @_@

That... what... so many switches... how the... broken Thermometer... and the... it wraps around... stable pattern... oh my aching brain.

(Sorry, I just can't think straight after seeing that. How'd you figure out all that stuff? And how did you make so many Magnetic Key Switches without the level overheating?)

You guys are definitely Master Creators. And deserve a LBP Crown for this masterpiece.

  • YOu think thats a complex swithboard??

Look for the Little Big Calculator!!

Thats what i call a HUGE system

  • Yeah, I've seen that. Hold on, lemme open it again (lucky it's a Related Video).

Their Thermometer is ONE GRADIENT AWAY FROM OVERHEATING. Whoa. Okay, note to self: Don't use 1000-something Magnetic Key Switches in one level!

  • these skillz are too intense for my eyes, even making and attaching switch triggers and all of that is too much for my mind to comprehend

  • WTF

    Then:

1.-You must be some kind of "Extremely samrt-boy"

2.- LBP tools are that complete..... they must be very complete to do a thing like that.

I am getting this game no matter what...

  • Wow...

  • making a computer in a game is amazing =O..It'd drive me crazy to even try to understand it =S

  • wow you = genious

  • Now..

    That's a ftreaking computer! in a game!

  • i own little big planet!!!

  • YOU ARE AWSOME

  • Thats fucking win

  • holy shit how awsm is this?

  • to much to time not alot of friends:}

  • you should take some time off to learn English

  • gthmf

  • stfu bich!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • too much jealousy and not a lot of skills :}

  • Wow, I feel really stupid now. What exactly... is it?...

  • Looks Very Boring

  • how? why?

    awesome.

  • OK...i think this is a blueprint to the innards of a computer....and any one knows.....input is first required for output....in the case of this machine..... i think no inputs are required....

    while an output maintains stability......

am i babbling too much? do i even make sense?

    let me know.....

jus tryin to be a layman.......hmm i smell banana

  • wow...O_O i feel not smart right now

  • Yeah it really sucks that people go out of their way to make interesting things for no other reason than to amaze people and make life more enjoyable for everyone. The nerve of this guy!

  • What's the difference in spending hours and hours on this or spending hours and hour playing a final fantasy or halo or whatever...I can't think of any other titles right now. It's just part of the gameplay

  • Pretty cool. If you don't know what the Game of Life is- look it up on Wikipedia or something (Conway's Game of Life).

  • 1 question: why?

    its awsome anyway

  • do you really need a reason to make something awesome?

  • Holy expletive! That's one impressive computer!

  • It's not sad, because it's actually productive. He could show this as a presentation for a logistics company if he applied for a job, or he could do something similar to this.

Creating a shrine for a Pokemon in LBP and spending 500 hours on it is.

    This is not.

  • It's sad that dumbfucks like you don't respect geniousness like this, but immediately go wow at someone breaking a roof tile with their head.

  • dude the person who made the machine must have absolutly no life or be a robot one or the other.

  • The partial view of the machine is simply astounding. I roughly estimate that if you scaled the sackperson to the height of a human, this contraption would be at least 12 stories high. Trying to envision that hurts my head though.

  • this is absofuckinglutely astounding

  • So... does this mean LBP is Turing-complete, then?

  • cafe tacvba on the background!

  • Clearly someone needs to make a tool to synthesize Verilog into LBP

  • My Gods, that computer must have taken forever to make!

  • So the awesome array of switches in the background controls a 6*6 grid? That is awesome. How long did it take to make?

  • My brother mad a binary counter -> decimal display thing on there. (He's an EE) rutir is his user name iirc.

  • I have trouble doing this in C++, and someone manages to do this in a video game with the equivalent of sticks and stones. Absolutely amazing.

  • lol

  • @Tay1833 People have managed to implement Life in Life, so they can recurse while recursing.

  • Make an F-pentomino, that'd be sweet.

Any chance to make the grid much larger without filling up your thermometer? I wanna make a glider gun.

  • "How do you destroy one which has no life?"

    Seriously good job!

  • so im guessing this is not the board game life...

  • brilliant.

  • Great Work, truly amazing.

  • You made a game that works on Game programing skills. This is smartly made and it is extremeley complex. Well done.

  • I don't even know what the hell this is...

  • OMG this is better than the calculator, much better!!!

  • For those who are confused about the simulation, try Googling "Conway's game of life".

  • ...i dont know what the heck that was doing but it looked verry complex

  • i dont get it :(

  • Wow. That is truly amazing. I never thought that LBP would support such wonders of digital engineering.

  • Seriously, this is like every CS student's dream come dream. With the laws of boolean algebra supported virtually anything is possible!

What I want to see now is someone develop the steam engine in LBP. >_>

  • that is really incredible. i don't think i would have the patience to build that, even if i knew how to do it ;-)

  • I <3 Cafe Tacvba!!!

  • Having just finished my Digital Logic Design class, I have a new appreciation for these LBP computers. I thought this stuff was hard in Quartus!

  • anyone add me i get LBP and my ps3 for xmas 6 days woohoo psn: iK-Nine

  • i cant find it anywhere!! i searched the name and didnt see it help me out plz? add my psn keva_k

    thanks

  • ha found it

the new update on lbp made it a hell of alot easier to find!

  • I just had multiple nerdgasms.

  • It looks like you have absolutely no idea of what this (incredible) level is actually doing.

  • i honestly dont know either..wat IS the computer doing..

  • WOW. make it run windows xp rofl!

  • This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

  • incredible!

  • Wow, that, is just amazing!

    btw: Cafe Tacvba FTW!!

  • i dont get it?

  • That's a win, for now. I see one thing in LBP and think, "That's awesome! No one can top that." then something else comes along.

    Simply amazing!

  • :O......EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!

  • Crazy

  • So amazing! This is why LittleBigPlanet is one of the greatest games of all time :'D

  • Woah. Simply stunned dude. Wish i was capable of stuff like this

  • u have inspired me to buy a ps3 and everything in the world... i have taken sum courses in computer programming but nothing this complex.. if u guys could explain this in detail to me i would give u guys what ever u want!!!! thank u .. will be getting a ps3 soon.. take care.. ill send u a f/r once i get mine.

  • If I recall correctly, this took you guys 5 days to build.
