  • rob newman is talking so much sense. a really intelligent guy!

All his points show joined up thinking.and a fantastic comedian! hitchin's proud of u rob!

  • The ice is melting on Mars and Venus too, perhaps the cause of that is also a cause here on earth. That all species ebb and flow is obvious, even if the dinosaurs thought it could never happen to them. Nature takes it all back in the end, regardless of how careless and mercenary we have been with her bounty. Let's try and live in peace.

  • @anotherblonde we know so little about Mars that it's impossible to say what trends in climate the planet is experiencing, or why changes occur and there is no water let alone ice on Venus as it has all boiled off.

If you're interested in learning more the windows2universe site has some good info.

  • A tax on emmisions per head globally could only be enforced by a global authroity of some kind. I never thought Robert Newman might be an advocate for NWO. Bit surprised really.

  • The world is warming. But as some of you say: so what? It always has warmed up and cooled down, with or without people. True. So ok forget the temperature, how about all the animals and plants we're killing? Don't we care about them? This isn't like trashing our hotel room for fun - there ain't another hotel, for us or our kids.

  • Rob Newman is still a brilliant man, activist and comedian.

  • The earth will cleanse itself!

  • @soulcru5h See that 97% of all climate scientists that support that geezer on the bench's opinion, that's called "scientific consensus", that is. That's how scientific facts are established not corporate sponsored denier BS.

  • Check out our upcoming documentary on uk climate change activists!

  • its a shame that a guy whose heart is obviously in the right place has got it so fundamentally wrong on this issue

  • Bullshit

  • Amazing what utter drivel this all now sounds, now so many scientists have broken ranks from the IPCC dogma, now we know the CRU cooked the books on climate data and now we know CO2 makes up less than three percent of greenhouse gases. There's no greater watermelon than Comrade Newman.

  • Climate change is happening but then again has it not been happening since life began? I reckon it's just another excuse for more taxation, 'bleed the fuckers dry with something they can't avoid' Its a good lie but I'm not buying it..

If I'm wrong then I'm sure Dennis Hopper will have room on his oil tanker for me when the world is saturated to the point of a salt water sphere.

That said I think Rob Newman is one of the best and underated comedians the UK has at the moment.

  • Rob - Climate change is bollocks.

Your a fucking funny and clever bloke, i wish you would do some more stuff. But dont swallow the Global warming...erm sorry i mean "Climate Change" nonsense, (written in a freezing cold room, just after the coldest november on record) :)

    Cheers

  • @silverlake77 Agreed, climate change is just doublespeak for eugenics programmes and carbon tax.

  • @silverlake77 Yes, and let's be sceptical of the existance of the Sun, because it might get dark tonight. 97% of the scientific community agree on climate change, but yes, you know better being a... what? A janitor?

  • And next week Pam Ayres discusses the war in Afghanistan

  • @ohugitmeueffingc hahahaahha

    Yeah ok then mate!

Its all my fault for having a big car on my tiny little fucking island....Tree hugging deluded cunt.

The climate has ALWAYS changed....The whole movement is opportunistic SCAM to get more taxes...WISE UP.

You Tube George Carlin on saving the planet...and then see how foolish you have been buying this scam.

  • Oh dear..Rob Newman has swallowed the BS about man made climate change...

    What a deluded mug....

    9/11 was an inside job

  • There is nothing we can do. I've checked. So we might as well be incredibly selfish and take take take while we still can.

And on that note I'm off to have sex with my next door neighbour's Ghanaian wife whilst he's down the organic veg shop.

  • You see that... Al Gore?.... =P

  • @andreaswords Yeah, seems like you guys get all touchy bout your warming malarkey, that guy isn't a moron. Look at ice core graphs- my geography lecturer did confirm this- on the vostok ice core graph of CO2/temp, temperature rises 600 years before CO2, and temp still rises wayyy before co2 on others. Not the other way round. So even if CO2 does drive temp to a massive degree, we'll experience its effects by... hmm, 2600. So all that talk about 150 years time? What a load of shite.

  • Does Newman know he went mental a few years back I wonder ?

  • and as for the oceans how many gigatons of CO2 do they ommit each year compared to us? Also what comes first temperature increase or CO2? That is an important distinction.

  • @fibbsabaddy The oceans are reaching saturation of CO2. they cannot hold any more, look it up.

Human activity produces 100 times more CO2 than all the volcanoes on Earth.

Today hundreds of the most eminent scientists, the academy of science in the USA, published an open letter stating that it was oil corps behind the denials of global warming... and that they were fed up with the shit coming from the far right in the USA.

    watch?v=2T4UF_Rmlio

the second half details the corp stooges involved.

  • @marsCubed I will. Thanks. Of course in the system e live in it ill never be solved. The only answer is the venus project or we are all fucked.

  • Nice but just because I have not been to a university serving to perpetuate an institution does not mean it makes me a moron. My uncle is a millionaire by outsmarting people and he did not go to uni. There are many ex members of the IPCC who now oppose the man made global warming theory. They went to Uni. Just because the majority says something does not make it true.

  • @fibbsabaddy you are simply a deluded fool. grow up face the facts.

  • Great comeback. You have made me see my foolish ways and I have now grown up. You are my new messiah. It was all the facts and logic to your argument that really changed my mind. Eloquently put, well researched. Well done you.

  • @mytimetravellingdog you grow up you bag of shit. How about you actually research it for yourself, or at least look at the other side of the coin to see the other arguments. Most people won't because they're too scared to be wrong.

  • @10Rob11, we've seen the "other side of the coin", it includes a mere 3% of the scientific community including "scientists" who don't even believe in evolution and a handfull of charlatans like Glenn Beck and Lord Monckton who is best known for crafting puzzles. So let's see, I have 97% of the scientific community and you have a bipolar alcoholic, Lord Soduko and your own burning hatred for Al Gore on your side (and ZERO CITES of scientific journals that you obviously can't bother to read).

  • Newman's as perceptive as ever. The real tragedy of global warming here is that he's been re-tasked from doing really eye-watering comedy to politics. Wish the govts would sort the problem so we can have our comedians back!

  • global warming is a myth the globe has called for the last 2 years but i do see the dangers that face us and our climate will change but not nescessarily what we think the conventional thought of what our climate is.

  • There is no problem. It is fiction.

  • Some days I wish that climate change wasn't happening. I wish I was back in the days when you could fly without guilt, and overconsume, when my parents weren't 36 hours of train journeys away. Now you've just given me another reason to wish away reality...!

Skepticism? That's when every bone in your body wants things to be different but on the evidence you have to hand you're compelled by intellectual honesty to accept the case. Climate denialism, on the other hand, is just a betrayal of facts.

  • @adecentusername I have yet to see any convincing evidence that proves man is the major contributor to climate change. So many people mistakenly say "its a betrayal of facts" "look at the FACTS"... but people need to realise that pretty much nothing in science is fact. You say "evidence you have at hand"... show it to me. So many people use that phrase... when they don't even have evidence.

  • @10Rob11 its pretty beyond doubt that mankind is making an impression on a climate, the only question is whether we really can do anything it at this point.

Probably not, people aren't/cant going to abandon their cars and electrical appliances and ease of goods to them on mass.

My guess is the oil is going to run out fairly soon anyway. Maybe not in our lifetimes but soon.

  • Rob's spot on about the fact that late-phase capitalism is incapable of dealing with the very real scientific fact of manmade climate change.

My main worry is that the worse effects of climate change will start to bite too soon for capitalism to change into anything more equitable. It's like hoping peak oil will solve the problem for us. We need manifestos, ten-step plans, nimble, attractive steps we can take, *now*, like direct action or lobbying. It's too late for big disruptive changes.

  • The only answer is the venus project. Check it out people.

  • Who says carbon is bad? Stop desert spread and an increase in co2 and temperature will increase yields to most forms of farming.

Decreasing global temperature will become a massive economic opportunity for any company/country that unilaterally decides to do something about it.

  • Wise words. Especially about out-sourcing your carbon footprint.

  • sorry fascist, too bad the scientific community (ie those who aren't merely corporatist spokes models dressed up like "scientists") don't agree with you. SO when you show me your PhD in climate studies, I'll be apt to believe you. Otherwise, it seems it is you who are the one full of propaganda and ZERO FACTS. Newman is repeating FACTS and you can live in denial all you want. The planet doesn't care. It is resilient. It doesn't need the willfully ignorant human race to survive.

  • @priorzola so you really have a phD? Someone with a phD in climate studies shouldn't use the word FACT when talking about this stuff. Especially when so many scientists know, even the ones that believe in man made climate change, that there is little evidence supporting the THEORY. One thing that gets me- as everything is theory, then everything is at LEAST up for debate. Why do people that believe in this stuff treat the others like holocaust deniers?? Answer that one. Cause it's true.

  • @10Rob11, the only debate is with FACTS and there are thousands of scientific studies on the matter none of which you are prepared to even cite such is your lack of any degree of knowledge on the subject. You know what GLENN BECK and antiscience right wing websites has told you, not what you have actually learned by any personal investigation using scientific journals for your basis of FACTS. I treat you like a manipulated TOOL because you're acting like one.

  • fascistamericadotnet,

You are the worlds strongest argument for abortion.

  • Whilst he is incorrect about the fact that global warming is a reality his view of it from a political standpoint (if it were real) is faultless.

Everything hes says is entirely valid in the context of anthropogenic global warming.

  • Perhaps just keep speaking out loud about it, make others agree that the right way forward is to find an alternative power source and all work together, rather than trying to make a quick buck out of the dripping remnants of our current dwindling resource. I know we can't escape the commercial World, but we can change the back bone to how it's powered, using a none pollutant power source (or near to) should be the global humans aim.

In fairness, it DOES look cold in that park :)

  • Lol.... Professor FJ Lewis speaks ^^)

  • Climate change!!! our entire solar system is warming up. We are coming into line with the Glactic centre, which happens every 26,000 years and as such are losing some of our sheilding from the centres harmful emissions... check the temperatures of other planets in our solar systems. They have risen in the same percentage rate as Earth. Global warming is another vein on your wallet created by the puppetmasters :) Oppulant society is another arguement ;)

  • It is so nice to find someone who can see through this bullshit with that little thing called research. Thanks for this post. I am dissapointed in Roberts view on this issue. I had him pegged as a bit sharper than that.

  • fibbsabaddy,

    Your a fucking moron.

  • Hows that? Please explain.

  • i want to help your videos get more eyeballs. I also know how to do it. Get in touch.

  • 6 billion people driving one in a car 24hours a day couldn't remotely compete with the sun as a global warmer. The globe warms and then there's more CO2, it cools and there's less. Its a trick to worry you my friend. and you of all people I think no why scientist/governments would see global warming as a neat scare mongering trick. if you don't know write me and I'll tell you. most of the reasons being outlined in your "history of oil" act.

  • why would governments scare us into consuming less? that goes against all their plans that scare us into consuming more....

  • They scare us to make us feel insecure. That way we will grant them power to make us feel secure.

  • so rob newman is in on this then? and all the scientists, economists and doctors? it's not goverments who bang on about climate change, it's the academic world.

what purpose would they have? the evidence is outside, can't deny it.

  • Well that is not actually true. The IPCC is a political institution. Which means it's scientists are paid for by politicians/goverments. They are not going to tell you the truth so they don't count. Besides there are plenty of emminent scientists who oppose the man made global warming argument. Al Gore is its chief patron for christ sake! How dirty does the river need to run before you stop drinking from it?

  • @fibbsabaddy yeah, did you see what he was driving around in, in an inconvenient truth? Bloody gas guzzler. Shows its retarded, all of it.

  • @10Rob11 I am afraid so. I guess you are either part of the retardation or you see the light. Do you know that the sunlight that hits the earth is 10,000 times our energy needs? Geo-thermal can provide 1000's of years of clean energy, wave can do half of it, wind an 8th, tidal all of it and solar panels in space is feesable. Do we have the money? No. Do we have the resources and the know how? Yes. That is why I advocate the Venus project. You should check it out.
