i think that music thats heavily involved in the mainstream is generally more catchy at a first glance, which it kinda has to be for people to buy the music quickly and therefore make more of a profit from a radio broadcast for instance. Thats the change that biffy made in puzzle, the music was still good, but more repetitive so it got old pretty fast, whereas their old stuff takes a lot of listening to get into, but once you get into it its sooo rewarding. definitely my fave band at the moment.

I don't think one music genre is more 'shit' than another, but I do think that a lot of Biffy fans turned on them as soon as Puzzle did well. I like Biffy's old and new stuff equally, Marmaduke Duke not so much but all a matter of opinion eh
