  • Hi Mike,

I would like to learn the turnaround at 7:48

    More Robert Johnson please!

    Excellent video. Thanks!

  • NEAT!

  • This is very helpful. I started playin guitar when i found one of your videos (then i stole my father's guitar, it was lieing all dusty in a corner of his room). It's still hard to play (my finger tips are red and in pain) but i just can't stop =P Your videos are great 'couse you show what you are a couple of times with a diferrent speed.

    thx u very much =D

  • Thanks. This hs been very helpful. What else hav you broken down. Love to see it.

  • ty for the adviceXD

  • when i slide on the acoustic guitar the slide is making sound on the strigns is that normal or i ll have to practise to no make that sound

  • No thats normal and some people love that sound in there songs but if you really dont like it try buying tightly wound strings, nylon strings or wat i do is put a small bit of olive or any cooking oil onto a cloth and rub it on the strings and that will stop it!!

    =]

  • i like it but when i play in front of my friends they tell to no doing it thats why i asked actually:D

  • Im one of those that love that sound :P ... havent tried the cooking oil thing, but after own experiences dont do "home-recipe's" on the strings.. but havent tried your advidce, so umm :P

  • Ye id be careful with home recipies but oil is natural and used in fast fret which is the dear way to stop that noise!! haha

    =]

  • Yeah :P .. I don't real remember what the reaction is between rusting metals and oils, actually just 2 lazy 2 look it up haha :P . .. But what the heck :P strings cost like 15 dollars or something just try it of on old ones ;D but i wouldnt do it cause i love the sound of the slide sound..

  • Well loads of metals are stored in oils to stop dem rusting cos theres no water or air in oils!

And when something starts to rust you put oil on it to stop it rusting!

and i use it on my strings and i have a 2000euro guitar, it works fine!

    =] =]

  • ah yea.. warm up the metal then stick it in oil process... ..

  • Tone Finger Ease spray is worth trying. Makes playing a little different in a nice way, but after getting used to it for a little while it seems nice to play a guitar without it.

If your friends don't like the noise, just tell them they're crazy but you'll humour them. Then use a spray and pretend you're just playing differently for their sake.

  • good videoooo

  • not for beginners at all... but great!

  • hey shelborific. you can actually get some light gauge strings from asda for £2 they are actually ok. especially if you change your strings regularly. cant tell the difference between them and martin. only do light gauge though.

  • This was such an amazing lesson. Thank you!

  • your good man...

    nice play

  • this is not for beginners hahaha

  • The epitome of music.

  • Does anybody out there know where to get some good acoustic strings for a beginer on a buget??

  • Hi, many things make up the sound of your instrument, the wood used, the manufacturing of the guitar, the strings and the set-up.

How much did you pay for your beginners guitar AND YOU want to use the cheapest strings for the most important item that can improve the sound of your guitar, try a local hard wear store for some gardeners twine? A bad craftsman can blame his tools, but then a bad craftsman wouldnt have decent tools.

Never skimp on the cheapest item that can so improve your guitar

  • ebay?

  • nice but some tab would help?

  • Njaaah! This is to much for me, i just go on with my two string beatin' and fill in's as i go along. Works for me

  • I don't know if I understood well, is the tone "B"(si major)?

  • thanks a lot

  • is this a standard tuning? pls answer TY.

  • Yup...standard tuning.

  • thanks ^^

  • thx man

  • sounds like clapton - hey hey :)

  • have you got a tab from this blues ?

    THANKS

  • on the 'e-chord section' he says to play both the 2nd and 5th strings together...but if you watch him play through the song he actually plucks the 2nd and fourth string together...(e.g. start watching at 6:39) other than that, great video.

  • pas des plus faciles comme leçon pour moi mais très instructive merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo!

    THANKs

  • SOOOO Awesome!

  • how I made a two part of visor in the vid? thanks...and good blues.

  • i didnt say anything about it being easy, i just said he describes it accurately enough to "understand" it, which is what the commenter said he couldnt do, to encourage him to listen to that man's words carefully and use his eyes in consonance with that.

  • i give up ive been trying to understand it for like amonth now fuck it

  • i got it in 5 min =/ he describes it pretty accurately

  • i cant do the E thing i dont understand it after the rockin blues

  • I just found out. Just watch his fingers closely. He moves the ring-finger a string down.

  • You get great sounds on this and also on your Spanish guitar lesson. Love how you teach!

  • Thank you a lot, on my new telecaster it sounds great :)

  • It sounds great with my les paul too :P

I've always wanted to learn this!

  • Thanks for the video

  • thanks helped a lot

  • you could buy a fender stratocaster beginner set ... best guitar!!!

  • i want to start playing guitar because me and my friends are gonna start like a band but i have to start to learn guitar what guitar should i start with?

  • what kind of music do you want to learn?

  • I would start with an electric they seem to be easier to begin with because the fretting is easier...the once you get your calaces on your fingers you can get an acoustic later..but i would recommend starting on an electric

  • i want to learn like rock and that kind of music

  • probably an electric, they're easier to learn on. don't bother with one of those guitar packs. buy a cheap guitar, like a squier tele, and a fairly decent amp - like the vox ad30vt. i don't know how much cash to burn but the best advice i can give you is to spend more an an amplifier than anything else. it's what 70% of your sound comes from.

  • ok thanks for the advice :D

  • Buy a Alvarez!!! I own Ibanez and Fender acoustics.. Nothing plays like my Ibanez and it's beautiful. If your talking about electric then I recommend either a strat or a les paul gibson.. depending on your budget..

  • like my Alvarez sorry.. the Ibanez ain't bad but ofcourse it's not my baby anymore :P

  • why are the start or les paul expensive or they suck?

  • Do you wanna buy an electric?

les paul is just the father of all guitars!!

and the strat is the younger brother.. It all depends.. you can make soo many different sounds with a strat.. from spychadellic to blues and rock.. even some nice acoustic melodies.. But if you want that Jimmy Page, Slash kinda sound.. just rough and makes people go insane then your choice is the LP Gibson man.. you can also make great music with an Ibanez JEM which is also my 3rd favourite guitar in the world..

  • cause i bought i strat from my bro for $100 he never uses it so he sold it to me

  • That's a really nice deal.. Especially if it was an American Edition. Mine is Black and I added a fender strat American Edition noiseless pickup onto it.. I changed the screws and bolts to a more beautiful US model I purchased online and now I paid 500$ and IMO it sounds better than a standard American edition strat. Lots of experts have agreed with this aswell. <- please don't attack me for making that statement :P

  • jaja its ok

  • i meant o say strat

  • I'd go with a Gibson SG LTD. with 3 Pickups and a Floyd Rose Tremolo. They're about $4,000.00. That's a great beginner guitar.

Then get yourself a nice Marshall Tube half-stack as a starter pack.

But seriously, buy a Squier Strat or an Epiphone Les Paul and little 30-50 watt amp for starters. Learn "Power Chords" and turn up the gain. Mix in some Minor Pentatonic riffs, and you're on your way.

Most of those lessons can be found on YouTube.

  • kk thanks but isnt 4,000 to much money?

  • guitar dont matter man, just play it with some soul, ... i mean, check out guitar john an old guitar is all he can afford!

  • por fin entiendo algo
