i've got the 900s and i'm very happy with them! don't buy the 2000s! it makes more sense, to buy instead of the 2000s a more expensive mixer. the slip mode is it worth, to skip an optical more attractive jog... and the display of the 2000s is not big enough, it's still very unconfortable...
@runmvp Less cpu usage, the midi on the 850's is still a little bit doggy upstream, however downstream its fine. Also it uses alot less cpu and leaves you less likely to crash.
@SolDiosEntertainment well not if your run it on a macbook pro. :) just saying, if you can afford to buy 2x 850 you can afford to buy an macbook pro :). anyways traktor has +1000 features that recordbox doesnt. maybe in time Ill change my mind.
When connecting CDJs by lan, why do DJs connect more than 2 at a time? I have seen at club, why are more than 2 CDJs needed to be LAN connected? You just need to crossfade between 2 players no ??
@jehangirshaw They made that for use the same USB stick or hard drive in all the players, but enter to the pioneer forums and see the lot of problems that is made by this and other things, is better use 2/3/4 usb sticks copy all the files and be sure that you don't going to make the stupid in the middle of the set
all Pioneer 's equipment these days are visually stunning but i'd like to see the 850 in black and the 350 with the 850 platter - THINGS TO CONSIDER - thumbs up if you agree!!!
@jigibao It all depends on what kind of music you want to play, and how you want to play it. Personally I don't really need slip roll or funky loops and that's all that separates the 900 from 2000 other than price.
@TreyMohr that has nothing to do with djing lol, its about the mastering of the audio. If you can't even hear and understand him maybe you should get a hearing test.
@xicot86 isnt the denon 3700 the same price as the 850... O_o both are $899....unless the denon 3700 is $799. but its only $100 more. Im just goin with the 850's
@subtenko Yes the price is nearly the same but whit the Denon you have hot cue's something if you want from pioneer need to buy the CDJ2000 and also other features that the 850/900 don't have
these things are taking the art form out of dj'ing! when it gives you the option to physically see the bpm to the .10 of a second thats when it has gone too far for me! anyone that buys these might as well consider this dj'ing with a handicap! BUY SOME TECHNICS and actually learn the true art
@jeansim im not sure about the 850s but i own a pair of 900s and once you enable Link on your cdjs you are able to use your latop "recordbox" as a database for your songs....all you need is a LAN hub to connect both your cdjs and your PC
@unitedsimplydabest mater temp...no matter where your pitch is , you sound is same , there is no speed up or speed down deep sound, music key stays the same
locks the pitch so when you move slider the key doesnt change. so you cant tell as obviously that the tune is being played fast or slower. amazing feature, i nearly always have it on.
@DJCarloh better stuff does cost more i agree but they go over the top, especially since some kit doesnt have much seperating one deck from another. pioneer cdj900 and pioneer cdj 2000. they are so similar yet the price jumps up for the top model. cdj 850 has most of the capabilities as the 900 and yet is alot cheaper. also they hold their value well
@DJNardini i have no idea what the actual diffrences are, but i guess the 850 is less in quality, and some "small" diffrences could cost much too.. anyways.. i still find it worth the money, i bought the 850's and im incredibly happy with them.
@pMcARDENboyz lol go fuck your own face, you are an idiot if you think it's over priced, you pay for what you get. it's basicly a fucking computer you have there... makes sense.
@Jordhash22 Denon 3700 but wait to October maybe a new players come out in the BPM expo also new features for the Xone DB4 that IMO is the best mixer today with 50 EFX, loops and a superb sound quality
@SolDiosEntertainment You will be surprised by Denon they have stoning players with filters, echo, echo loop, flanger, hot cue's, auto loops, manual loops, dump, reverse and brake, vinyl mode (yes the jog spin), bend mode (static CDJ type) and all the things that come with the pioneer players costing the same as the 850 also is made in Japan with quality materials no cheap plastics in Malaysia is standard because everybody have used before no because is better.
