@DemiathDoomhammer No, that's just the original timestamp that most cameras started out with. Like nowadays if you take a picture with a digital camera, some will have a set timestamp on the bottom right corner. The earliest work on this probably started in 1997 with production meetings
@DemiathDoomhammer i don't think so, i know it says that on the camera but Elijah wood would have been 9 years old in 1990. chances are its just a camera settings mistake. I think they started work on it in around 1999.
@mushroomchrisn - yeah, but they didn't start looking for actors until maybe 1998-99.. this was much earlier, and they were planning to hire actors, but it took like forever to find a studio and all that shit, so I still believe what it says on the camera, I believe PJ had already some ideas in 1990 and started working on LOTR early in the 90's.. but I could be wrong
@DemiathDoomhammer well it's possible, but i think even for an epic on the scale of LOTR having the prosthetics 9 years in advance seems to be unlikely.
This stuff is brilliant! So much time and effort.

01:48 - now, let me get this straight, they were really working on the lord of the rings back in January 1, 1990? I didn't know that.. wow!
