Chris Moyles is paid £600,000 a year, by the people listening. I think this is disgusting. It's an HR issue not something to rant about, On the other hand, it's bloody brilliant radio.

Lets reverse the situation: You work for a company, your their best asset, you bring in more fees than anyone else in the company and deal with the biggest and most important clients on a regular basis. The fact of the matter is whatever you feel about him or his views, if you didn't get paid for two months or however long, no matter what you make, you would be upset. He still has bills and mortgages to pay as well and while it is obviously easier for him to get by without a few weeks pay it still doesn't make it right.
The point here is that he hasn't gotten paid, regardless of his job, his talent or your opinions on him when you work for your money you deserve to get paid for your time.

If the BBC pay their staff at the end of the month, he would have been paid at the end of July (he said he was paid in July).
That money is supposed to cover him until the end of August.
At the time of his rant his pay was 3 weeks late. Big deal.

i have listened to Moyles for quite a while and to me he doesn't sound serious. He goes on these rants frequently and he just sounds nonchalant. If he was really angry and upset he wouldn't have come in and ranted. There are people who are taking pay cuts and not getting paid for overtime ( BA air stewards?? not that i like the fact they walked out but at least they did it!) and yet he feels need to moan about 2 months of non payment..

For him to try and justify this is a joke. I get £1200 per month (I have a modest house and 2 kids and worked for 22 years), if that went missing for 2 months then I'd be in deep trouble.
