    20. Mahaabhuja

It means “Great/Huge arms”. Arms represent Karma (actions performed). She is the performer as well as the controller of all actions.

  • 17. Mahashraya

She is the great refuge to everyone in the universe. She being the mother of the universe, she looks after all her children. Nobody is orphan or left out in the world, She is always there for everyone. Once a person realizes this and takes refuge in her, then there would be nothing he would ever worry about.

    18. Maalinii

It means “shining” or “the one with garland”.

  • 14. Kamarupa

Kama means desires. Rupa means form. Hence, Kamarupa is she who has herself taken the form of all desires. The source and the body of all desires is Saraswati. Hence, she is also the fulfiller of all desires.

    15. Mahavidya

She is the Great Goddess of Wisdom and Knowledge. Esoterically, she is one amongst the Dasha Mahavidyas, the ten aspects of the primordial shakti.

  • Welcome "Autum" season ...

  • Ya Kundendu Tusar Haar Dhawla..

    Ya Swet Padmasana..

  • Happy Saraswati Pooja to every One

It means “granter of wealth”. Here “Shri” not only refers to money, but also to prosperity, health, happiness and bliss. It refers to balance in both physical and spiritual existences. That is, she can grant materialistic, intellectual and spiritual prosperity.

  • @pratya22 this is wonderful... I am amazed and impressed that you are taking on this this translation with such care! Some say that the essence might be lost in a translation. Maybe a little is lost... but maybe those whose ears and hearts are open can get enough of the meaning to feel some of the light. I love it! Thank you! And blessings to Saraswati! She is some very fine lady! :-)

  • 4. Varaprada

It literally means “granter of boons”. She can fulfill everything a person desires.

  • 3.Mahamaya

It means “Great Illusion”. Acc to Hinduism, whole universe is merely an illusion. Maya means, that which is not. The universe consisting of dualities and multiplicities is nothing but an apparent manifestation of one indivisible Whole (God/Brahman). Brahman manifests this multiplicity within himself. This power of Brahman to manifest apparent multiplicity still maintaining wholeness is Maya. Hence, Mahamaya is the mother of whole cosmos as she is the source of all manifestation.

  • 2. Mahabhadra

It literally means “Very auspicious” or “Very pleasant/gentle/gracious”.

  • 1.Sarasvati

The name comes from the root word “saras” which means “anything which flows”. So, Saraswati is “she who flows” or “she who has flow in her”. She is called as vakdevi (goddess of speech) because speech is result of flow of sound/vibration. Thus, she is the source of sound and hence the very source of this cosmos. She is also called Goddess of Knowledge/Jnana, because Knowledge is infinite and ever flowing. In short, Sarasvati is the personification of ever flowing Knowledge.

  • Thank you for this video

  • O Saraswati ma..I bow down before you ...keep pouring your bless..lead me to the way of truth and light

  • Amazing, just hearing this makes people feel like they're in Heaven!

  • Bramha the creator has saraswati as concert..the ingenuity requred to create something is provided by knowledge and intelligence..Brahma symbolises creator and saraswati the force and so the material world begins

  • The beauty of the prayer lies in its Sanskrit lyrics and therefore to translate this beautiful piece into English will loose the essence

  • Can anyone translate this song into English?

  • @johnragin3 Actually even if I translate it for you in English it wont help much... because the divinity which is associated with Sanskrit Mantras can not be translated to its utmost essence in any non Indian language... But I will try giving the closest translation for this maha mantra... Om Namah Shivay

  • @45Sunny54 It would be wonderful and very much appreciated if you could give even an un-utmost english translation. Maybe by a miracle, the great Vak Devi will help me to understand.

  • ye mantra sach mein mind ko cool kar detein hain, aapko bhi ye mantra din mein ek baar zaroor sunne chayiye....!

  • Thank you for the mantra's on U-tube, it is very powerful, and peaceful and joyful to listen.

  • nice song soo sad song ...

  • How do you worship Saraswati? I feel a close connection with everything that is going on here.

  • 2:19 at that time look at the book it has a nazi sign on it please someone explain!!

  • @TopShowsHere the swastika (right facing) has been used in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain religions for centuries. It has religious and cultural meanings, mostly of peace and devotion to God. Unfortunately, the Nazis took this symbol and mirrored it (left-facing) and used it for their evil purposes. The symbol has therefore become stigmatized by many who associate it with the Nazis, when in actuality the symbol is of ancient Hindu origin.

Once again, the Nazi ruin something good and beautiful.

  • @radhed86 kl thnks

  • @TopShowsHere its an ancient symbol of change sacred to hindus that was stolen and used by hitler to help him accomplish bad things

  • @TopShowsHere that sing in the video is actually the sign of lord Ganesha...nazi's sing is rotated almost 30 degree whereas, Ganesha symbol is straight and has dots in every quadruple section. both signs are different....hope this helps:)

  • Jai Saraswati Ma!

  • So peaceful to hear! Jai Devi Saraswati!

    Om shantih!

  • Peace!!!!!!

  • nice

  • In Irish mythology she is called Danu

  • FYI - Hinduism is not mythology - do not compare Hinduism with "Irish mythology"!

Goddess Saraswati is as real as can be.

    Jai Devi Saraswati!

  • Ignorant fool. Danu is as real as Maa Saraswati - in fact they are one and the same...

You should not try to prais one face of the Goddess by denigrating the other. This is in vain.

Instead learn to see the Divine in every culture.

Sanatan Dharma is eternal gift to humanity and not only found in the cultural confines of Hinduism.

    Peace be with you!

  • i think "sanjay4india" took offense as he thought another user was equating hindu religion to mythology...

  • Thanks for reviving my faith. God Bless You!

  • Happy Navratri! Happy Dusshera! Om!
