  • nice style!

  • increibles .. fantasticos ,tienen mucho realismo ..

  • paco de lucia on guitar?

  • wow I'm really speechless ... this is so beautiful!

    something called talent ... xD

  • From 1 artist 2 another: Your portraits are superb. The crispiness in detail & likeness is enchanting!

  • what kind of pencil are you using??

  • Grafito bars of diferent hardnesses. The harder is the tipical wood black & yellow pencil that you use when you are a child and after 2B 6B and 9B. The last one seems like charcoal. I love it.

  • Me alegro.

    Carlos

  • dont show me your great art teach how to draw:)

  • These are really good. I particulary like the celebrity ones, as they seem so life-like. I think pencil portraits are the best medium, as they have a unique quality.

  • I liked your portraits of children, but it was obvious that you were working from photographs, they always give themselves away :)

Your work that shows portraits of the stars were very rough I felt, I would want to do more to them. How long does it take you do do a standard portrait please?

  • there is only 1 thing i can say WOW! By the way do you exept video respnses? misfits243

  • nice work...

  • beautiful art :D

  • These are the best portraits ever.

  • dibujas hermoso mujer :)

  • ¿De dónde eres, Yolanda?

  • De Barcelona

  • very very cool , keep up the goodwork

  • those Windows Movie Maker transitions are so garbage and overused, the art however, is brilliant! What type of pencils did you use? could you tape yourself drawing something so we can see how you do it?

  • First I draw it with "difumino", (I don't know the name in Englich) and after only graphite pencil.

  • Thank you for replying. "dilfumino" translates into "I blur" so I think it's called a blending stump. I heard they were very effective so I'll probably get some, you can espect to see my drawings up here soon. ;)

  • i would say you are trememdously talented but that would be a gross understatement

  • I like your drawings.

  • Wow. Absolutely amazing. I just can't comprehend how people can draw like that. It can never be learned, it's either you have it or don't have it. I would love to see a sped up video of you making one of those drawings. I bet that would still be a lengthy video, huh? Thanks for sharing!

  • lol, tomack78. Of course it can be learned!

    Anyway, really nice work Yolanda.

  • You can learn some techniques, yes. But to be able to make it all porportionate and make it come out perfect takes a keen eye. You've got to be born with that ability.

  • OK Tomack78 you will have it but give me time please, Well it will be for everybody who wants to watch. Thanks

  • I look forward to seeing it. Thanks!

  • Before you can be so sure that drawing is a God given talent you should check out "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. Her students thought the same thing at first, in 2 months they went from childish drawings to drawings you would swear were made by someone else.

  • I have to disagree with you there. You can alwys tell a piece of work that is done by someone naturally gifted.Someone who has a flair for drawing, tends to have an amazing sense of perspective and talent...you can't teach that.

  • I agree with loveablemoggy. These are not only done from photos but are traced from them. In every drawing the proportions are perfect but the rendering of the tones isn't. Look at Grandparents and Granchildren, 1.08 I think, the line is very hard and the boy has his mouth open, do you think the boy sat and posed like that?

Some of the drawings work really well and that depends a lot on the photographs they're copied from as well as the obvious talent this artist has.

  • actually proportion is easy the shading is the hard part so don't assume the drawings were traced because of it!

  • actually ske8erkle, proportion is VERY difficult. Why do so many people give up on art?

It's because their attempts to get their drawings to accurately represent something fail.

Shading is an art too but can be more easily learnt than proportion. Some people will never master proportion.

  • hmmm then i quess the wrong technique is being used by so many people for the proportion because it can easily be learned. and thats not the main reason that people give up on art its because they lack the basics fundamentals.

  • sk8erkle,you have a point about the fundamentals. I teach adult art classes showing all the fundamentals. Most of the people who give up, do so because they find their proportions don't improve and to become better takes more commitment than they,re prepared to give.

  • yep because i recently stopped drawing cartoon,Anime and got into realism, still life and portraits(im 16) and realised that it was harder for me to get the proportains correct ,so i decided to learn the fundamentals and it became easier for me to undersatnd. now im the top of my art 2 class and my teacher wants me to join AP art :)

  • what do you mean of fundamentals?thanks

  • Like some pple try to draw but they don't understand the subject. Like the human face is 5eyes across someone who don't realize or understand proportion would draw the eyes to close or to far, also in order to succesfully shade u have to understand differend shadeing techniques, value and how light works and why the shadows are where they are In art class u learn how to "see".

  • i'm not studying in an art class but i draw too...thank you for those informations...=)

  • No prob ur welcome. And good luck :)

  • are you studying in an art school?thanks...your so nice..

  • LOL no I'm in highschool at the moment but Im looking forward to art school and a career in design :) how about u?

  • haha..i am already in college..comsci student but i don't like it..lol...ah...gudluck...thanks for always replying...your so nice..=)

  • oh cool thats what i had wanted to do for a while :)

  • Phenomenal drawings! Keep it up...

  • VERY good artwork!

  • those are cool.
