  • has this wonderful instrument a soundpost?

  • @Mr98giuliano - Yes it has a soundpost - the construction is pure violin, just the shape and size are different

  • Great instrument! And you are quite a showman too.

  • Cliffs of Moher... cool

  • Thanks for that - the sound hole positioning was actually a bit of an accident but it seems to work okay. The fiddle sounds much better now since I've fitted a bass-bar.

  • so amazing that little box sounds very loud, so as your clock.

very intering the sound hole is behind the bridge.

  • Thanks - it's very handy for playing sessions when travelling, and it certainly gets its share of attention!

  • Impressive sound for such a little instrument, and good tune too!

  • Thanks itsaguinness :-)

  • Great vid! good song

  • Gotcha! hehehe yeah I thought it'd have more impact to go from mime to sound :-)

  • When you grap the bow I started laughting. I imagined notes appearing instead of sound :D

  • Thanks for the comment Lcalavera - I'm glad you enjoyed it :-)

  • thanks for the happyness you gave me with this vid :)

  • cliffs of moher! that's a fine tune! very clear sound too :) great job!

  • The book is: "Violin Making - a Guide for the Amateur" by Bruce Ossman. It is published by Fox Chapel.

    Cheers

    Jerry

  • gotta tell me the book name and author!

  • Thanks Cleardrops :-) I guess it's not too bad for a first instrument, but I can see many ways to improve it. Heheh yeah the clock - maybe it's there so people don't think there's no sound to the vid ;-)

  • PS: I particularly like the ticking clock in the background ... its a great touch altogether :-)

  • Lovely tune! Sounds great! Funny clip! You are very clever indeed. Good one!

    Cheers

  • The tune is called "Cliffs of Moher"

    Cheers

    Jerry

  • Nice....what's the name of that tune? I can't remember.

    Thanks.

  • Hey Jerry!

Congrats on the pochette! A fine tune for a fine instrument!

    :o)

    Davydd

    Cheers
