I was a kid and they filmed scenes across the street from my bedroom window where a completely naked beautiful woman runs outside to the sidewalk. Other people on the sidewalk were extras but the people in the strip mall next door were just people from the strip mall and not knowing what the scene would be. I remember thinking 'are they allowed to do that?' It was awesome. I never saw the movie and didn't see the location in this clip, anyone know if it made it into the film or who the lady was
Even though I was about 6 or 7 when this movie was released, I did see it about 10 years ago. The naked woman was playing a stripper in the movie. I could tell you more but I don't want to spoil it. ;)
the name of the actress who ran out nude in-to the streets was moriah shannon, too bad d.c. cab was her only other credit besides some women in prison flick i've never seen yet. moriah had nice boobs and buns
This was the stuff. Sooo many memories. Great movie..for that time period. The 80s were all about dreams, setting goals, making friends...and this song by Irene Cara hit the nail on the head (The Dream) I have this movie on DVD and once in awhile my kids and I watch it, they laugh the fashion.
Hey. What a great movie! Alot of the time when I talk to people about past favorite movies, and I say this one, I am surprised how many people don't remember it, and how few do, but what a fun movie time! :)
One of my all time favorites'' i still BUST UP LAUGHING when i see it , dam i miss the 80's,, and yes hadijoge they have it on DvD I have it , it was not easy
I remember seeing this at the theater. The Star Wars like beginning showing the undercarriage of the cab while it was driving. Just another in a line of fun feel good 80"s movies. I had a lot of fun back then...I do miss those days. Time does fly my friends.
@1980pacecar I know your comment is 2 months old I feel the same way..the 80s were my heydey when I had a crew of friends, cars to work, movies to see and girls to talk to, I feel so old now haha. I saw this movie in the theatre too, I always liked it.
i love d.c. Cab! my favorite bit is where the hot stripper who works at the venus club stiffs gary busey of his fare,so he runs inside, rips off her bikini bottoms with wads of cash in them,THEN she chases him to the outside butt-naked,haha
I loved this movie when I saw it in my freshman year of high school. I was so sorry to hear about Charlie Barnett. That brother was funny as hell. He could have been so much bigger. His guest spots on Miami Vice were hilarious.
Rest in peace, Charlie Barnett. I saw this guy doing stand up in a park in NYC in 1989 when I was 12 years old, I'm glad my folks let me stay there to see it. He was in between crack stints unfortunately but it was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life.
His name is Chalrie Barnett and he was very close to getting hired onto Saturday Night Live but at the last moment he was dumped in favor of Eddie Murphy.
Actually Dave Chappelle has acknowledged Barnett as an influence.
This movie was played in the theaters in the Philippines twice! Although it had a huge cast, Mr. T was the most recognizable star. Because Mr. T was so famous among Philippine moviegoers, the movie was re-released there inder the title "Mr. T and Company" in late 1988...five years after its initial showing!
As was previously stated, this was an awesome movie. Filmed in 1982 in Washington, DC & Hollywood. The set of the movie has staged in my neighborhood (Shaw/LeDroit Park) numerous times, and I've see the taping of several memorable movie scenes. That was a treat. My older brother marched with the Cardozo High School Marching Band at the end of the movie. Damn, the memories!!!!!!!!!
i actually met Jill Schoelen, who played Claudette in this film. Shes a vry nice lady
