Sure, she's OK - but is she the next coming of Louis or Bix or Al Hirt? Naw, but she does have assets none of them had, and the old dirty men of the STJS have sure to noticed.

An authority on trad? Could be, hard to tell.

The thing that sticks in my craw is that there are hundreds - maybe thousands - of unbelievably great trumpet players that will never get the attention 'cause they ain't got the looks. If it brings more people to the music, I guess it's OK, it's just not the best...

From someone that knows her, she has fought very hard for what she loves to do. There are some really great trumpet players out there and she is one of them. Looks are nothing compared to hard work, perserverance and dedication. She got a degree in Jazz because it is what she loves to do. She has a dream and she's following it, and I am very happy to know her and support her as she lives out her dream.
