I'm not Italian but I love this song very much. I first heard this song when I was in college maybe 1956 in the Philippines. It reminds me of my best friend who called his girl friend "Innamorata". Such a lovely song, one of my old time favorites.

I guess my love of 2 of the best Italian men or men I have ever known songs like this bring such heartwrenching memories to me, these were times this society can never understand, true love , happy times, and thoughts of a future of love, caring, and continued happiness, that today has brought to a screeching halt. I thank God that I have the knowledge of songs like this , a happier time and life.

What a voice. Now this is a beautiful love song. Jerry Vale is one of my favorite singers. I had albums of him but they were lost in a fire. Im so glad I heard him again. What a great voice.

All Jerry Vale songs always reminded me of my father. He was a communication officer of a passenger ship in the Philippines. As the ship would sail from port, he played  Jerry Vale songs. We miss our father so much and Jerry Vale's songs renkindle his memory.
