My only suggestion would be to lower the throttle speed after gaining some altitude after take off. It is not necessary to fly at full throttle, and I wonder how this plane laded, the way it was speeding along till the end of the video. Wish you had shown the first landing, too!
Hey pal fly safely!! And use more than 2 rubber bands I use at least 6 to attach my wing in the plane. In every moment your plane will become into a missile without control causing som sevrious injury even death at expectators! And again fly safely! regards
wow, look at all the disrespectful and rude comments on SOMEONE'S FIRST FLIGHT! Yes, he should've had more bands but dam guys, I thought RC flight community was a little nicer than that. Calling other dumb f.cks is a real way of showing how great the r/c community is huh.... morons. Great first flight imo.
VERY VERY bad practice to only use 2 bands....and also to start the engine with no mechanical restraint. You will never pass your BMFA "A" test.....read the book and fly safe!!!
would have been nice to see the landing. Cant believe your wings stayed on with those 2 skinny laggies though ! Best to use 6 heavy duty ones. Well done though.
nice for first time my plane is close to ur one if u get started with it try a dogfight with another plane its soo nice but only fly with planes who are 1.60m or more spanwidht
im thinking of getting one of these but i am worrying if i am good enough to fly it. at the moment i have a crappy c-17e electric foam plane. are these things steady in the air?
ok thanks for the quik reply m8. still not too confident tho haha. iv crashed the c-17e a few times but im blaming that on the plane not me. it just seems to drop awt of the sky, i think its because its too light, but im thinking i wouldnt have this problem with the trainer?
fucking hell u need more than 2 bands to hold wing on m8. i been flying a long time to know that u need more than that. even with the aerobird u get 4 bands.
had ur dad ever flown any rc plane before or was that his first ever take off of any plane? if it was then thats good skill for first time. im buying one of these planes in a couple of days, would you personnaly recommend it for beginners? (like me) currently i am training myself on realflight g4, so i think ill be okay :P (i wont hold my breath though)
hi dude thats was his first take off lol and flight, but like u we also had abit of training on R.C flightmaster. i got the best plane for u to train on it cost £130 and it comes with every thing its called parkzone spitfire its electric but it flys a treat it does loops i really recomend. type parkzone in youtube and watch dude. good luck
Aerobird swift or xtreme if u can find one. or try flyingwingsdotcom. alot to choose from but i use a aerobird. good fun and cheap to repair. get something electric, but if u wanta go IC i have a T180 which i have almost finished. its on modelflyingdotcom. my first glow trainer. but good luck anyway. sims do help alot too.
When you start your plane, its best to have two stakes in front of the rear tail to stop it shooting forward when it starts. Also, always a good idea to walk to the back of the plane to take your glo off, I have seen so many people get their fingers sliced by the prop reaching over. Defo agree on the advice about the bands as well, you need 6 white ones from the model shop or else your wings may lift in flight. Have fun flying though, its a great hobby !!
Yeah seriously using two THIN bands is absolute madness when I would say use at LEAST six THICK bands, I'm amazed you didn't lose the wing... Think more next time... Good luck flying though
When ur learning PROPERLY, you generally learn at a club, where there are normally NO PEOPLE OR ANIMALS FOR THE PLANES TO CRASH INTO!! Look, you can fly, its just that it will be a bad influence etc... to other people who cant fly, they get one, chop their fingers in the prop or injur someone else with it. Im not dissing what your doing, its just that you should at least join a club before you eventually crash, trust me, i did the exact same thing as you when i first started.
well, she is still in her box and is waiting to be build and taken up in the air.yes, i will 100% learn to fly with an experienced pilot.but i´m not sure if i will join a club or not (no extra money to lose!).but if she will ever take off the ground, i will try to shoot some good videos.that was the main reason for buying that plane.for now i´m building a MikroKopter.
thx bro that was my old man flying mine wasent so lucky if ya look u will see my plane on the floor. if ya look for R.C trainer flying with crash site at end. mine is in peices
Thanks for the song, I'll do more searching to find it. I viewed your other video, not a bad crash; just a broken prop it seems. It's all part of the learning process. Takecare!! Happy Flying... and Happy New Year!!
Very scary!! Only 2 rubberbands, almost cuts his fingers off after engine start-up, barely takesoff and no landing, perhaps it never landed. Crazy vid at the least. Congrats!!
haha only rubber bands came with it so we thought thats all u needed, but nex ttime we fly it il make sure old man puts alot more on, we had a bit of training on simulator....and yes it did surive...barly lol...but if u check mine out mine wasent so lucky... R.C trainer flying with crash site at end

you say you spent months on the "Sim". you havent impressed me as an R/C club chariman, i would have you dismissed from the club for first time flying like that.
haha months i dont think i could w8 that long, more like hours and to say we had no experience what so ever to fly the planes i think we did well.....at the end of the day im not paying a stuck up gadger with a dickey bow tie on tell us what to do, it was fun doing it our way
Only two rubber bands to hold on the wing?! Th manufacturer of my trainer suggests 8-10. You are setting yourself up for eventual disaster using only two, especially when you get into aerobatics.
Is your dad still flying?

I used to put 6 or more on my trainer...

the ripmax 40 coloration looks much more interesting as my kyosho boring red.
the yellow one is also much prettier as the standart color.
and i do agree with the simulator or an expierenced pilot for the first take offs.
but what i really like on the trainer 40 is - he´s big and can fly slow.
so optimal for camera adding flyghts.

the only thing i can fault is the rubber bands
i know it makes sence to cross them over the wing and in cases this is stronger
but if you happen to crash the wing wont snap off like its suposed to
the rubber bands you had just stick around 3-4 of them on each side
and that will hold it perfect and will allow the wing to pop off in the event of a crash
it will help avoid bad damage to the wing
and posibly help the plane rest quicker
apart from that
exelent first flight
