  • Takes me back to great times nothing wrong with these old tunes.

  • Doesn'T this just take you back to good Times, thanks for Posting.

  • 4 are salem god bless u lad ...

  • Always love hearing this song. I always think about my two golden retriever dogs. One that I had up until I was 12. And the other up until I was 23. My God, does this song bring good memmories about them both to me. Pete Shelley rocks.

  • This reminds me of a time when life was simpler and people had respect for each other. Unless we start going back to this way of thinking this world will not be a world worth bringing our children into. Think about it because i am right. We have so much going for us but we are screwing it up.

  • This reminds me of a time when the senile and the insane could be persuaded to take their medication - a time when they'd write their absurd gibber to the editor's trashcan at the local newpaper - a time before teh internets unleashed The Dribble of Millions onto the world.

Yep, them was the days indeedy.

  • for me this song brings back memories of a time when life was simpler and people had respect for each other. Until we return to these times the world will just become a worse place to live in. Think a about it!!! Because I am right.

  • this song sucks

  • the John Garland version is better than this

  • love this song as much today as i did in the 70s now that ive got my own dog tess this is for you many thnks for posting

  • Since 1975 the Bay City Rollers' Bye Bye Baby had endured over time as it's a more catchy tune. If I made a top 100 of my all-time favourite musical acts the BCR's would come out way on top of Peter Shelley.

  • Oh that's good!

  • Though I do have a confession to make - I actually prefer this tune to 'bye bye baby'. (Oh dear, did I actually say that? Boy, do I feel disloyal. Saying something like that would have got me severely rebuked if not completely shunned by my fellow Rfans back in the 70's, such was our fanatical nature! But having said that, back then I too wouldn't have tolerated such disloyalty in the ranks!) Anyway now (without my blinkers on) I think that this was the better song. Shh, don't tell anyone!

  • Ok, I won't. :) They were great times musically, far better than nowadays.

  • Definately.

  • this is lame. I know that pete is a homosapien, but this is the gayest song I've ever heard from him. Maybe he is a part of the american bestiality society. ( In dog we thrust)

  • I suppose it depends how your mind works.

  • It was April 1975 when this was in the charts and I remember that I couldn't decide which was my favourite song at that time - Love Me Love My Dog or Bye Bye Baby by the Bay City Rollers, I'm still undecided.

  • Gr8 comment, thanks! But you'd better decide on the Rollers or I may have to block you! lol!

  • love hearing this song on the radio when in the car -great -thanks

yes loved it for years and good back up group as well

  • lol! i thought i was going to watch pete shelley from the buzzcocks! this guy sounds so cheesy.

  • This is a nice song but I prefer 'Gee Baby' more.I remember seeing Glenn Campbell perform

this on a 70s Bob Hope special.

  • Super record

  • This song always made me cry, still does all these years later - I still miss my dog who died in 1980.

  • i am so glad it is not just me who cries at this song.. i am 38 and cant stop crying when i hear it.. the goosebumps just get to me..
