I love how perfectly the battle theme is timed with the battle itself. It seems like with *every single battle* the action starts at 0:17 and soul crushes start at 1:17

I just started playing and I am extremely irritated with it... it seems like im just mashing all 4 buttons at once... maybe i'm not used to it.

idk, i remember the VP for ps1 was so fun

It's similar to VP1 where each weapon a character has equipped has a set number of performable attacks, but you're also constrained by AP.

The only gripe I have with it is that the enemies get REALLY tough later on, especially in the desert area.

no star ocean only has freya and lenneth as cameos, or bonus bosses. Lenneth you fight as you go farther in the game, and you get to fight freya in the bonus dungeon after you finish the main game. You also fight Ethereal Queen in star ocean as well as in Valkyrie Profile

This guy use magic then attack and he must knew he must penetrate the guard of those monster. This guy use all out attack too...just like me. Anyway, u are not bad whoever u are.

um dodging the red zones isn't really hard as long it's not wide or far or if they acually move and oh yeah I'm a newbie too does it mean that if you kill the leader first you'll get more experience?

If you kill the leader before the first dot on the right hand side disappears you get what is called a "Direct Assault". This guarentees that you will get 30 magic crystals at the end of the fight. These crystals add to your total EXP but if you can get more than 30 crystals without using Direct Assault then you still get the same amount of experience. The only thing you lose by not DAing is the chance at the "Leader Item" which can be obtained through a DA.

Monsters have a short range of attack, and dashing doesn't change the flow of time, therefore he can move to the back of the monster and finish it off.

The monsters fight back ONLY when you step in red zones. Avoiding red zones requires strategy.
