In home supports services are cost effective. For example, my autistic son requires 2:1 care when he's self injurious or having seizures. It's therefore cost effective to keep him home, as if he were placed out of home, the state has estimated his care at over 1 MILLION dollars a year. His care at home is under 140, 000 a year.
