  • *im starting to understand words in Cantonese movies.

  • I know this is irrelevant again, but Cantonese is starting to make sense to me now'!!!! I remember the very first time I listened to the complete Cantonese teach yourself I was like "There is NOOOOO way on this planet that up will ever learn this" and now I'm starting to understand movies in Cantonese movies at full speed :D :D

  • Did you say "Quand j'ai travaillé à la gas station...?"

haha! I like that! Good improvisation. ;)

By the way, it's cool how you knew the song. :)

  • @zecchinoroni Yea, hah. I forgot how to say gas station in Frenchh.

  • you da man Moses!!!! that was awesome man!

  • This video is a level-up odyssey.

  • "Enchanté de faire votre connaissance" en Wolof? Aucune idée!

  • This is incredible lol... I put of watching this until I got back from a road trip for couple days. But I see what I missed lol. Awesome man!

  • Excellente sceance de "level up"!

Oh and the only mental issue you suffer from, like Leaukie said, is Mad Idioms Disease!!

Keep em coming, I love these level up vids!

  • Beautiful

  • "jebugene" is so tasty you should have try it out

  • @TheMandji75 It’s better than Dibbi?

  • @laoshu505000 Nagadef lol. I have a lot of Senegalese friends. This is a wonderful thing you are doing emercing yourself into cultures like this.

  • your laugh is so contagious.

  • I've been looking up Laoshu's nose for the past hour. -____-

  • @GoSuMonSteR hahahahaah

  • Wow 56 minutes. Amazing video; it's better than watching a movie lol.

  • now this is cool!...i bought teach yourself Chinese and Japanese..really good books...

  • You don't have mental issues - you're a warrior :) Moses could you clarify what you mean by "Level-Up" ? Is this a standard term like "shadowing" or is it Laoshu dialect ? :)

  • @g1981c Have you ever played any role playing games like Final Fantasy, Chrono Cross/Chrono Trigger etc?

  • @laoshu505000 when i went to wikipedia to look for "level up" it sent me to article about RPG games, but for some reason i didn't connect it to your affection for video games and assumed it was a wrong "level up". i used to play Quake way back in the day, but i haven't played in years.

  • Ok i went back to wiki - makes sense. I don't think any of the games i played were this way. Thanks for clarifying !

  • Very cool video! I really wanna go try this with the little mandarin and Cantonese I know so far now! Very motivating as always :D

  • @daglug1 They would be very happy to speak with you.

  • Awesome man!

  • @Renrussian Thanks for viewing.

  • O_O "Ma! Pa! come quick...theres a kid out here speakin' cantonese...

...I think we have a problem...!" lol XD

  • @iCabinBoy haahaha.. Up at the cashier's counter causing problems

  • Excelente!

  • "yeah I"m about to blow his mind" hahaha omg I laughed so hard when I heard that! Good stuff! :)

  • Very long~~

  • You could've eaten your lamb before going to order some Chinese. Unless you took them both home to the wife?

  • @PaulSLambeth There was no way I would've been able to finish it all by myself haha

  • watched the whole hour. loved it all.

  • this is very motivating! but I was disappointed you didn't practice Arabic, anyway, I got a question, I'm not sure about your level in all of these languages you practiced, but do you ask natives to slow down? I'm meeting up with an American every once in a while, she's learning my dialect of Arabic, and I practice speaking English, but she keeps telling me to slow my Arabic to extreme levels it's not even fun anymore. I like to help her, but it's not natural this way. what do you think?

  • @AysarAburrub I really only ask the native to slow down if I can't understand completely.

I would say just keep speaking at normal speed. If she doesn't understand than it's ok to repeat. She just needs to be patient. In time it will start to become second nature to her. She needs to continue listening to Arabic and meeting with you at the same time.

Yea, I was looking to practice some Arabic!! Maybe next time.

  • @laoshu505000 it's a bit funny you said she has to be patient ... she told me she wants natives to be more patient with her lol. I know language exchange needs patience from both sides, but I mean c'mon, slowing down this much isn't good for anyone. I'd love to meet up with her more often but it's not easy considering we're both too busy.

anyways, thanks for the answer man! much appreciated ... btw I really like your sense of humor and your enthusiasm that you always showing in your videos :)

  • get them xp points

  • an hour of Laoshu!!! im glad im on my laptop in my comfy bed ... lololol

  • Funny to watch as always! By curiousity i would like to ask, why are you always wearing earphones in all of your leveling up videos?

  • @patt7000 I decided to wear them especially when I'm leveling up so it looks like I'm on the phone. Many people don't feel comfortable being recorded. Thanks for viewing.

  • "I'm trying to learn chinese" haha!

  • Wow ! Great level up ! Just to let you now, in French we don't say "gas station" but "station service" or "pompe à essence" =) Man I got to record some level up sessions when I'm in the Turkish district hahaha =)

  • @loki2504 Oh yea, most definitely. Thanks for the correction.

  • Laoshu out for blood lol.

  • @DarkOchestra2008 I'm still thirsty!

  • 56mins!? well..guess I'll make myself comfortable for this one.

  • @VElliot Indeed... steeping myself some fine chinese tea for this one.
