This is one of my favorite films. Max Von Sydow was brilliant. Deserved an Oscar nomination. While Redford is good as Turner/Condor you still see him and say that's Redford. Von Sydow was Joubert. Great piece of acting. Cliff Robertson and Faye Dunaway are excellent as well.
yes, it has a lot to do max' acting as joubert. but I also like it because of the nice scenes of NY in the 70s. brooklyn heights, brooklyn bridge, wtc, central park, guggenheim etc. have not seen seventh seal, but I know it's one of bergman's movies.
I love this movie because of New York in the 70s and I am not even from there. I just love the texture and grit and rain. I never realized this is one of my favorite films until i REALLY watched it. I have seen it many times now and if people complain that movies today have no story this is precisely why i love this film. You feel this characters fear and panic and what he is going to do next is so interesting. Max is brilliant in this he scares the hell out of me.

Taka maka! That is a lovely part of the upper east side. Central Park borders on the north end. Thanks for posting! Cheers!

Thanks! It looks exactly the same. It would be cool to see the inside as well.

How many people walk past this building everyday, unaware of it's place in "Three Days".
A nice post, thank you!
