I find it odd that the final boss of Super Mario RPG got a remix of 4's boss battle theme.

Not knocking the game, but it feels lazy on Squaresoft's part :/

@dalonset69 the hardest part are those crystals. thats y u need the lazy shells from the rose town sky. have peach wield the armor lazy shell (thats a crap ton of defence. the only real threat would be culex's dark star.) and have mario wield the weapon lazy shell (thats a crap ton of offence, though he will die constantly from the crystals.) the way i killed culex is i kept peach alive and had her take out some of the crystals. if she stays long enough they will run out of fp. funny huh?

Several characters from the game are also owned by Square (Mallow, Geno, Johny and Smithy to cite some). That's why Nintendo can't use them.

But from what I've seen, WOW!! He is overpowered. Dark Star is unpredictable. Wind Crystal is b--ch. Earth Crystal is b--ch. Water Crystal is b--ch. Fire Crystal is b--ch.

Basically Culex is the mario equivalent of Yiazmat from FF12

Still love how the music sounds in a Mario soundfont.

This guy was way harder for me than most Final Fantasy bosses. It's not often I'm able to beat him, really.

And I've beat some of Final Fantasy history's nastiest, deadliest, most terrifying bosses.

Zeromus, Exdeath, Shinryuu, Omega, Cefca, Sephiroth, Emerald Weapon, Ruby Weapon, Ultima Weapon, Omega Weapon, Ultimecia, Hades, Ozma, Kuja, Necron, Braska's Final Aeon, Nemesis, Paragon, the list goes on.

I fear Culex more than all of them.

Except maybe Yiazmat... bastard.
