This what midwives and home births are for. To avoid those a-holes at the hospital. By the way nowadays they tell us it is "normal" to bleed after a vaginal exam I had one "student" ay the OBGYN check me and I was like WOA THERE DONT BREAK MY WATER GIRL! She was BARBARIC. These people have no knowlege of womans bodies or childbirth.
O my gosh, she made you bleed?! Yikes. Well, I appreciate hearing this story. I had a billion non stress tests in my 1st pregnancy. I was contracting so much from the 5th month on and then had to be induced at 41 wks. Pssssh.
woooow! sometimes those damn medical ppl can be so ignoran and bitchy! like when i broke my wrist at the hospital they were like "does it hurt when i do this?" and they were pocking and twisting my wrist and i was like "YES!!!!"! jeesh!
so yeah, the nurse was a dumby, but the doc wanted you to go to the hospital to make sure that everything is ok, esp with your history. if he had said you were ok, go home from the beginning, and then something happened he would gamble with getting sued. Just keep being happy that this baby is healthy, you wont care once she's here =)
You can not trust what a hospital does. They always do pointless tests and give pointless chemical poison "medicine" and its all to run up your bill. If I were you I would have a natural at home birth!
Oh girl , just wait until you are in there to have the baby !! When I was in after my son was born , they didt only forget to feed me , they forgot my pain meds almost every time ! And I had , had a c-section ! Oh the fun you have to look foward to ..LOL..I really hope that all goes well for you tho !
Oh my gosh what an idiot!!! I have a deep respect for most nurses but there are the odd few who just have no care factor and no regard for other humans. And how can she not bring you food when you've been there for most of the day and she knows you're pregnant!! That's just moronic!! I have to say though, you're looking great!
I can understand why you get annoyed. I'm really thankful for the maternity care in Sweden, we atleast don't have to pay anything for stuff like that. And we can even get paid a bit even on days we cannot go to work while pregnant. What are you going to do with the baby when the twelwe weeks are over? Key
I went through the same kind of nonsense. You really have to bitch to get them to do stuff when your spouse is with you. If you were alone they would be all over you and you wouldn't have any peace.
ogosh i cant believe that the nurse took forever like that... nurses at my hospital are the most sweetest and kind ppl ud ever meet... well at least on the L&D floor :) sorry u had to go thru all of that and @ 34 weeks u shouldnt have "real" contractions they would be braxtons hicks and they gave an internal bc just bc ur not thinning/or dilating u still COULD b in labor... glad that everything checked out okay but the closer to 40 wks u get better for baby :) GL :)
that sucks. I have been having contraction as well since 35 weeks. And have had to not go threw any of that. Thats crazy that you went threw all of that. Some of my contractions have been pretty strong but still far apart. Did they even do an ultra sound to check to see if the baby had turned yet and if she had dropped????? I am so glade that nothing like that has happened to me so far. Hope things get better Angie
Im a firm believer of its better to be safe than sorry. :) I was sent to the hospital regularly by my dr from the time I was 34 weeks on due to contractions in the office, but I was dialated and completely thinned out. Those L&D nurses have a way of hurting you..lol they always hurt me worse. Are your contractions hurting?
You handled things very well. Keep in mind that they are probably being careful because they want to make sure all is okay. Sorry that you had to go through that. It will be time before you know it.
GRR That sounds so aggravating, people in medicine are always looking for ways to charge your insurance company for pointless shit. But at least you did check to make sure, so better safe than sorry. You must be sooo excited! :D

Good job on not letting it stress you out. Dr's issues are always very annoying..let alone when its about your baby!
I still can't believe how fast this time has gone!

Damnit, you should switch your doctor. If it wasn't for him, this would not have happened...
