I know a lot of people like Desmond Wolfe, but Nigel McGuinness made me a fan. Personally, I thought the hair style was awesome too

@bman32x I'm not sure how anybody could prefer Desmond over Nigel. The Nigel McGuinness character was way better.

@GhostDistortion To me the Nigel character didnt get good until he pretty much turned into Desmond Wolfe in ROH. Dont get me wrong, the wrestling ability was always there I just feel that a lot of the ROH guys lack persona. And yes I do like the Austin Starr Aries persona in ROH.

@BruiserDrop It's all a matter of preference I guess. You're right that it takes a lot of ROH guys a while to develop a personality and I'm sure that's because many of them that are struggling in that area haven't been doing it as long as some of the other guys. Take Eddie Edwards for instance, he's just now starting to come into his own.

@GhostDistortion Edwards has really impressed as of late. Hopefully Davey wins the World Title, then the American Wolves will TRULY rule Ring of Honor!!

@jonjon535353 I hope so too. I love the Wolves and they are by far my favorite tag team of all time. I hope they stay together for a long time, but I feel like Davey Richards is going to retire, or at least take a lengthy break soon.

@BruiserDrop I agree that alot of ROH guys don't have a personality or persona. Tyler Black doesn't have one, and he's their World Champ. He's great in the ring, but has no persona. Nigel was very entertaining near the end of his ROH run. His whole persona where he was against the fans and against their hardcore style of wrestling was great. His promos were ALWAYS gold!

@GhostDistortion It depends on what you prefer. I prefer Desmond because he's more of a smash-mouth name-taker than Nigel, but Nigel was great because he was more like a punk-rock renegade. Both are awesome though. :p

@LostSpartan16 True story. Plus Nigel got more of a push in ROH so maybe I equate the Nigel character with that. Perhaps it's why I have always preferred Nigel over Desmond.

@WrestlingHandyManInc True that. From the moment I saw Nigel on HDNet for the first time I was hooked. He was my favorite wrestler and had the mic skills to compliment the in ring talent. He's a great talent all around and I hope eventually he returns to ROH and brings back this persona and theme.
