In any case, it's great to see Mr. Woolsey speaking in a public forum. I've always regarded him as a highly intelligent and kind man. The Clinton administration treated him rather badly at CIA.

I disagree with the expectation that hybrids offer a realistic solution to transportation. Nobody talks about small diesel technology, which is highly efficient and open to bio-fuels of all kinds. Hybrid cars will remain pricey, and plug-ins are just an additional burden to the electrical grid. Also, the notion that hydrogen is a possibility is utter nonsense since hydrogen production requires electricity or natural gas. How about a combination of small diesel, bio-fuels, and CNG?
