  • My Dad, a Canadian Buick dealer, 1950 - 2004, had this record. Great memories. Thanks.

  • You're welcome, 'KA7EII'. This jingle was used as part of the opening title of Milton Berle's "BUICK-BERLE SHOW" (1953-'55), and in the original opening titles of the "Classic 39" filmed episodes of "THE HONEYMOONERS" (1955-'56), which was also sponsored by Buick.

  • This was written for Buick by Frank Skinner and Jack Brooks, and used extensively on their radio and TV shows in the '50s.

Thank you for the information! It's always fun to learn more about these old songs.

  • Thanks. I have not heard this song in years. I tell my friends that back in the 1950's there was a song about Buicks and don't want to believe me. Thanks for proving me right.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm trying to learn more about this record. Did your parents have a "demo" copy like this one or was it the regular "purple label" Capitol 78? Did it have both versions of the song on it?

    Thanks again.

  • Thanks, I've been looking for this record.
