Modern ARt is basically bullshit and what you can get away with. Its all money hungry fraudsters that dont do Art any justice. Thank God for real traditional Artists before Picasso came along and fuck it all up!! with these UGLY paintings he threw together. He couldnt even draw that well. Im not blind or gullible I just see what I like and modern Art SUX!!

You have obviously never seen picasso's portrait work. He was very good. He wanted to do something that went against what was the norm and so his work was made. Not my taste, I prefer his portraits but he is exactly what an artist should be like. Dont be held down by what people think your work should look like. So do research before you bash a very good artist .

Im an artist and I like to see a painting that actually looks like some effort is put into it. There are too many wannabee artists out there that cannot EVEN DRAW that create fucken shit abstracts that look like hell in 5 mins flat for a quick buck >>and there are genuine artists like this guy who can create beauty. Its not easy to create realism perfectly .but anyone can paint abstract because there no real skill involved just splashes of colour thrown across canvas

If you're going to have your portrait painted, get an artist that will express his or her individual creativity, not just copy a photograph

If you didn't see the actual photo of the woman at 2:21, you would think the arm painting is anatomically incorrect, but then you see the real picture and that's the way it actually looks..She has such a weird arm

But why would I want an oil version of a photo?

Before digital cameras and all of today's technologies there where portrait painters who mastered these techniques, but there was some real art in trying to get the skin tones, the colors, shadows, and most importantly the human expressions, like La Mona Lisa for example. Now, to make a painting from a photo, it seams kinda worthless and pointless. I would pay someone to paint me in person, but not a picture. Not every artist can do that.
