Allosaurus had a relatively weak bite compared to other dinosaurs, a lion has a stronger bite. So the Allosaurus used its top row of teeth to sort of axe what it was eating, instead of just tearing meat off.
such a big carnivores cannot live simply by scavenging, it teeth evolved to hunt heavily armed dinosaurs such as triceratops, ankylosaurus and hadrosaurs. T-rex are less adapted hunting sauropod which is the speciality of the Allosaurs family as their teeth are design to cut through flesh which can help in slowly bleeding such massive giant to death.
Excellent video. I wanted to show off the difference between the Tyrannosaur tooth and Allosaur tooth in my museum tour in the American Museum of Natural History, but I couldn't get good shots of the Allosaur tooth. Plus, the cast of the T.rex jaw was very low quality. This video does an excellent job highlighting that.
The predator scavenger debate isn't as debated as you think. At least not amongst paleontologists. All carnivores must scavenge to stay alive.
@illiteratedino Thanks! Yeah, I thought it would be good to show how different these teeth are. For the predator/ scavenger debate, I think now people are starting to understand that every predator does scavenge time to time, yet I don't understand how T.Rex could be a 100% scavenger as some people have suggested. But any who, I found your videos today and I think they are awesome!

Good point. I forgot about that. It really is a very baffling theory, but a friend of mine told me that paleontologists aren't very good at zoology. They can make baffling theories that doesn't make sense when applied to the natural world.
