Sorry if you got this comment twice....I seemed to lose the first one....I really enjoyed listening to this....Well done and thank you very much......I ignored the negative comments below....why does something have to be perfect to be enjoyed? I shall listen to this again....it is on my list of favourites....have you got anything else posted that I can listen to? Jozz....England.
I think you were reading this for the first time, I don't think you are amateur cause this piece needs fingering for its playing so... the only wrong thing I see (apart of not studing it) its pedale, you press it for long time since in this kind of music the best ting is a pedale by time not by measure.
thing is not to get disheartened, u got the basics of a fine piano talent here, its not the mistakes u make that make u the person ur, its what u do about it, peace health happiness good luck n greetings from Ireland
as with the presure, just play it a little slower. or alternitavely, play in socks, and learn to control the pedal with the big toe, and learn to take the pedal on and off just enough to make it work. and pianists make the mistake as to put it to the floor. and take it off at the end of each tiny little phrase as it gets muddled.
i am not being rude or nasty just some tips 2 improve your performance.
You are probably accustomed to elecronic keyboards, which usually have a light touch. This could be compared to an organist accustomed to an electric action playing an organ with a tracker action.
I think it needs alot of practice. You should never perform a peice fully until yo've got it all down, tempo notes etc. I've learned that from experience. I think that if you practice this enough, you will get it good.
Play something easier. Work up to this. I'd rather listen to a well-played version of 'Three Blind Mice' than this mess.
My teacher would kick me out the door if I started banging away like this with no regard to tempo or note accuracy. If you can't play it well fast, it's no crime to slow it down. And as per the other comments, lose the pedal. It might sound better to you but honestly, it's not. It's awful.
Yes, I totally agree. Who doesn't like constructuve criticism. ^^
But you're telling me something I already know. I just simply adore this song, prefering orchestra ofcourse.
I played this song quatre-mains with my teacher a long time ago. Ten years later I found this score on the Godblessed internet for deux-mains. I was so happy about it and after printing, I kinda recorded it immediately... without practising... and this is the result!
A well-watched vid with lots and lots of criticism.
I think that you are retarded, because you think that you can simply play a piece like this with many wrong notes, and abusing your sustain pedal just because you are immature and you have no taste.
People play the piano to make wonderful music, and it is fine if you make mistakes, but being unmusical AND uploading it to youtube to show everyone "talent" is quite wrong. Listen to 2:20 if you have a problem with what I say. I'm saying this because of your attitude in responding to comments.
At least you know it's broken, some people continue to use it even if it's broken, or maybe they even refuse to fix it, or they are so ignorant when everyone else tell them it's broken they say something smartass like , I just like to wear a cast for the fun of it. Well, at least it just your ankle, at least the pedal is not broken.

hmmm... you may have only been 'trying out your new camera', but there was still no need upload it to youtube! Too many mistakes due to lack of practice! Amateurs and novices can still give polished performances. Put a lot more work in before you put another version on youtube; either that or downgrade to an easier piece. And I agree with the rest of the comments - lose the sustain pedal completely.
It has absolutely no place in quick-tempo baroque pieces, and anyway you haven't learned to use it properly. but you'll need to do some finger exercises so the passages sound even. It's harder work, but you'll become a much more proficient player in the end.
hehe. I will make an other vid without the pedal. But I presume it will be a lot slower because the keys will have more presure without my beloved pedal. whaha
this is a tough song.. i'm just learning it.. and i understand how you feel.. this is still great.. maybe work on it a bit more.. and it'll be perfect.. thanks for posting it
The one thing you need to work in is to stay the same tempo; other than that you did great! I havne't mastered it all the yet, but then I haven't tried that much. :) Great playing though! And that piano does have a pretty good sounds.
If it's true that this piece requires four hands, then you've done terrifically. Don't use the pedal so excessively and you have a perfect piece - almost ;). Nice piano btw.
It's true... there were many notes that I didn't play. Simply because of the quick tempo. Yes... It's a good piano. But not the best. The exterior is nice but the tone is alright... The pressure is high and the pedal makes the pressure less sothat I can play is faster... That'll explain my use of pedal wich I dont like either .
goed gespeeld! die ga ik vanavond met een vriend spelen in het theater de stoep spijkenisse =p het duet dan ;) quatre mains

your finger technique is pretty good, just lay off the pedal. And I hope you've spent €60 on having the joanna tuned since 3 years ago?

Your piano does not sound very good, but the playing is not AWFUL as some would have you believe!

I know it does sound bad, but I also know my capabilities and I'm 19 know, so I'm almost 3 years older than back then.
And unfortunately, I also know how expensive (read: cheap) my piano was... ^^

My first reaction to this video was: what a retard!
But you asked to be gentle (gentile = ?), so I will be.
Sorry to say it, but it is really bad. Even despite the wrong notes. Why do you use the pedal the whole song?!
Keep on practicing and don't play songs which are too hard for you.

good though, but it doesn't need the sustain pedal.

Your performance just needs some work. The sustaining should not be used for pieces written before the 1780's.
BayAreaBiker2001 3 years ago
Well. This was a quick piece, and my pressure on my pianokeys are quite hard. So the sustain pedal is just for reducing the pressure.
Nothing more than that. :)
