  • cud it not have been captured??????,,they r all o so confident!

  • some sweet info here

  • i enjoyed this vid

  • brilliant video

  • This is a pacifist approach to debunking. With hi tech v/a. Really eat shit.

  • but......... will it blend

  • @Killzone742 what do you mean by that ?

  • @tangent123456 will it blend

  • only god knows how other plants are there god is great 3x

  • the general definition now for a planet is if it can clear it's orbit, you also have to consider how much dust may be in the systems Orot cloud, if it's big enough to be seen it's a planet at the very least

  • hmm if you look at the theorised orbit then its not a planet going by the rules that means pluto isnt a planet

  • i sometimes imagine life, some billion years ago, and somehow, everything seems peaceful and calm. i don't know why, but it makes me really happy

  • @TheUltimateMan1000 Billions of years ago there were just bacteria and maybe a few plants and algae, why does that make you happy?

  • asseroids? im preety sure thats what the dude said

  • "only a few million years"

  • when i was growing up (now this was when i was immature) i used to call the big red spot: Jupiter's nipple XD

  • @mic12397 haha !

  • HOW IN THE WORLD are we able to see exoplanets, kuiper belt objects and planets in other galaxies but NO ONE not even the HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE can get a CLEAR resolution of PLUTO?????!!! Ridiculous!

  • @youontwantnonnadis pluto doesn't reflect enough light.

  • I LOVE this !

  • how boring :) i thought exoplanet refered to something more special, than just being a planet outside our solar system ^^

hehe well humans populating the cosmos...would certainly be cool, but very much *walking over the river to fetch water* :)

  • Humans populating the cosmos... a must

  • this makes me want to play Freelancer again

  • i dont get it, exoplanets are planets outside the solar system right?

so if this planet is as close to the sun as saturn, why is it called an exoplanet?

if its orbiting its star, it shouldnt be called exoplanet.

    so what am i missing?

  • @elmondark Its not our sun. It circles another sun. Hence, exoplanet.

  • @herpiethelovebug ya i know its not orbiting our sun, i meant, the guy says its as close to its sun, as saturn is to our sun.

so all planets outside our solar system are exoplanets? i dont think that's right...

from what i understood since i posted here, its a planet that was formed outside the solar system, or after the solar system creation process was over. then got moved into the suns orbit somehow.

possibly created by many comets merging. or such.

  • @elmondark Its just a word to describe a planet not in our solar system. That's it. There is probably another word to describe an object that exhibits the behavior you describe. Unfortunately, I don't know what that word would be :)

  • @elmondark google exoplanet definition.

  • the presenter is scary

  • yer all muppets

  • i love it.

  • 6 People have no education.

  • @lizrascal

Some times folks hit the dislike button on accident, you douchebag.

  • @AVIATIO Geez sorry! God...

  • @AVIATIO You're an asshole

  • @ButterflyWars

Thanks, I like being a dick to dumb folks like you.

  • To be able to get from one side of the star to the other in just a couple years at that distance means it must be moving dozens of times faster through its orbit than Saturn.

If it's at the same distance as Saturn and takes only a couple of years to complete an orbit, then it's moving about 15 times faster than Saturn, which takes 30 years.

  • Pemberdeer : The image at 3:49 is the planetary disk around HD107146.

  • The image at 3:49 is the planetary disk around HD107146.

  • Oh, duh. I worked it out... Its a prue-tue plenet.

  • Im not sure what you mean CrazyKraut20.

Can anyone identify the image at 3:49?

  • What is the image at 3:49?

...(and nobody make reference to my mother!)

  • @Pemberdeer its called sarcasm ^^ and it doesnt work well in chatrooms

  • @Pemberdeer its your mother

  • @Pemberdeer I believe it's a nubula.

  • AGGH!! It's bayta not beeta! Damn Brits!

  • @piratebri Are you kidding me? It's the name of the planet he doesn't mean Beta. Wow people like you make me sad.

  • satanistic luciferian evil disinformers Th earth was made 6,000 yrs ago ago!! ! Someone call the pope!!! Blasphemy!!

  • @mcplanetearth you're an idiot

  • @AgrivatedKillah evil blasphemer I will dispatch the archangel michael to open a can of ass wippin on you for your blasphemy!! nothing existed before the Bible was written .. Satanic luciferian!

  • @mcplanetearth You sir are the greatest troll to ever walk this earth.

    I bow.

  • @AgrivatedKillah BOW! to me !! I'll smack you over the head with me bible that says them there planets never existed until 6000 yrs ago. !! EVil Blasphemers!! LIES LIES LIES.

  • Go to my Channel watch a 4 part Video of u traveling from the earth to the edge of the Cosmos its in HD and is amazing if your intrested in astronomy im working on some science videos and some ufo footage if you have any footage that you would like to send to me then send me a Message i take ufo Space night time footage of any sort Please Subscribe to me and Thank you

  • uurrrggghhh i kno shes not doing it on prupose but the anouncers voise is really anoying also that other guy but great vid

  • Long Live The Terran Empire!

  • @1337BF2

  • @1337BF2 Ahhh starcraft 2 man!! awesome game but didn't like the new story .

  • I like when guy saying it in other wideos.

  • They're naming the telescope ALMA??? Like the freaky bitch from FEAR?!

  • bloody hell! A video about astronomy that hasn't been filled with spam about electric star shite by that fertilizerspike moron! Though, I'm sure he'll turn up in time with his empty claims and lack of evidence.

  • @FordPrefect23

Yeah, I've seen that idiot around.

  • what kinda accent dod the lady have in the beginning?

  • @MetallicMarshmallow Sounds to me like an Irish girl trying to put on a really posh accent for tv lol.

  • WHY DOES EVERYONE SOUND LIKE JIMMY FROM SOUTH PARK?!

  • lil planet on the left side at 2.43 :)))) wow me clever .. not! but it is one

  • Is it just me or they all talk weird. btw: blazed

  • this talk without the video would never get any attention. lol

  • 0:56 i luv how they literally put the shape of a star in the image, instead of an actual one.

  • shame about the vid quality, interesting otherwise ;(

  • @joeoli1 lol sure its ace m8 720p real nice you nit use?

  • i would love to fly out there.with out nothing happening to me

  • wahhhh total video spasm :/

  • so what do they get from this, is that planet livable?

  • @darkbluemars

at an estimated 8 jupiter masses it's very likely a gas giant, so no, this planet is not on the list for terraforming ;)

  • @didjabringadidjalong It's probably too far away from us to be reached, and the objects around it are probably very dangerous, as well as the massive gravity on it, so i dont think thats a candidate for earth 2 :D

  • totally agree mrwajax.

  • I realy dont think its my computer, so im going to say it has terrible quality, if anyone can confirm it ill retract the comment,

  • @ket0mobby Quality's fine for me

  • @ket0mobby Quality great for me.

  • space is full of mystery

  • Nice of the host to dress up for the show.

Jeans, a wife-beater, and an old sports jacket with no buttons.

    Classy!

  • Nice space sceneries

  • SPACERIP I LOVE YOUUUU

  • Have you ever noticed that Dr. J has the habit of moving his head to the left and then to the right while talking...I always smile when i see him on a video.

    No disrespect Doc...

  • i cant believe such a good program for free :D thank you spacerip!

  • @Sotox92 what program :D

  • @james65508

    THIS ONE! spacerip!

  • omg its a halo ring from the game halo! ().() halo in real life how cool whould that be thumbs up if that whould be awsum

  • and probly the wil be discover more exoplanets orbiting around stars :)

  • @MrIlovetrance And perhaps life on one of them

  • Comment removed

  • @Dince125 Yes.

  • @GloriousSovietUnion

i thought he was from the uk

  • @Sotox92 ha!

  • Image quality is too poor to see but, the info is still good :)

  • can be created within a few million years, this shows how scienitst fails real hard-they are without imagination. Why cant they imagine that the gasgiant is already formed as the star is formes and ignites which is more likely

  • @Buzzlybonk

They can imagine it, but it doesn't fit current scientific understanding of planetary formation, which is based on the laws of physics, not our imagination.

Scientists postulate (or "imagine") new theories or fine-tune existing theories and then they put these theories to the test, do they fit observed facts? If not, then it's most likely not a valid theory.

What you, or they, can imagine isn't conclusive, facts are.

  • @Buzzlybonk

How is this "more likely"? Imagination is great, but it must fit the observable facts to be considered scientific.

  • @creamsykle .Can add more to already the thrust from the warming star must be dynamic and front must be made around the star where material falling in meets the trust from the star, anyway I find more likely that that sciensist looks for answers that fits them in their posistion as they progress though life

  • Good video,very interesting!

  • forgot what he said, that adams apple is distracting

  • very very interesting

  • how are planets formed?

  • very very interesting....

  • The presenter kindah scares me D:

  • @TheTrueSong I know what you mean. I think he's trying to speak slowly.

    .

I miss Carl Sagan, he was so smooth and mellow. But then, now we know why.

  • @TheTrueSong he's an alien

  • @TheTrueSong Me too. Annoying because she's trying to sound British, but trying a bit too hard.

  • spun out !

  • i find it amazing that a planet that far out can still be controlled by a stars gravity.

    1:25

  • @Diggzist

it's closer to Beta Pictoris than Saturn is to our Sun, approx. 8 AU. Yea, that's quite a hike :)

  • Did ESO find Klingons orbiting Uranus?

  • @khunopie LOL!!! :) star trek ftw

  • @Bodybuildingryan Stargate ftw

  • this is cool and all but it's hard to listen to because of how annoying that guys voice/accent is.

  • @mamayollama maybe its just your ears

  • This is incredible. I hope the day comes within my lifetime that we have proof of life outside earth.

  • How strong is the force of gravity on a planet 8X larger than Jupiter?

  • @BloodMired420: Assuming you stay the same distance from the planet's center, since the gravitation field produced by a body is g=GM/r^2, it would scale along with the amount of mass the planet has...now it remains to be seen what they mean by 8X "larger". I'd think the 8x larger refers to frontal surface area as seen from Earth. This means its radius is sqrt(8) times Jupiter's, and it's volume is ~22.6 times Jupiter's. Assuming similar densities, so is it's mass. Its gravity is ~23x stronger.

  • I love astronomy! The universe is full of awe & wonder...thumbs up and favorite!

  • @MrWajax

    Exactly mate. Cool stuff.

  • @MrWajax I know right?!

  • @MrWajax this is sun planetsx

  • Fascinating!

  • What's a beeta?

  • @CiachoLover I'm assuming that Beta Victoris is the star, making Beta Victoris B the planet in question.

(I believe that the term 'beta' in astronomy is just a term used to identify stars)

  • @K25125 alpha beta, delta are the relative magnitude of the stars in the constellation with alpha being the brightest. The "b" part is the second body of that stars system, usually a planet :)

  • Nice video!

  • SpaceRip. The new SpaceRip (the personal narrating, etc) is not as entertaining as the old SpaceRip. I enjoyed just graphics, music, and a backround narrating. Also, congrats to slaykill57 for first comment.
