@op3l A battle rifle is a full length rifle, carries full size rifle ammo, and typically have an internal fixed magazine (some rifles have detachable magazines but are still battle rifles) and are breech loaders, muzzle loaders, lever action, bolt or semi automatic.

The concept of the assault rifle came out in 1916 in Russia, it called for weapons that fired intermediate rounds, has a detachable box magaine, reduced overall length, fired in full auto, and to be carried by individual soldiers

@jacobguns777 its not a spring field its an m1 garand, spring fields are bolt action m1 garands are semi automatic.

I think it is a M1-C or D in 3:01 u can hear a ping sound after he shoots unless thats put in, but it does look like a springfield.

@IrishHitman79 Nah, it's a springfield... I think they kept playing a sound clip of the clip "pinging"... if you watch the beginning, they have the clip "ping" right in the middle of the guy shooting but he is still firing the weapon... It's just sound-over's I believe. I've got an M1903 and the profile sure looks the same way too long and thin looking to be a Garand (I have a 1955 SA M1 as well)
