I read an article from ' Soldiers of Fortune ' magazine, a worldwide publication that came to prominence in the 1960's & 1970's. from what I can tell these journalists pioneered war reporting. The article was from the mid 1980's and compiled by a well respected US journalist who was apparently invited to view US Navy Seal training, he was later invited to the South African Recces training, in his opinion the only difference between Seals & Recce's was the lack of satelite uplink - think about it
I was an instructor at the Israel Defense Forces counter terror school towards the end of my national service here. We had a group of SA special forces types come through the school. Probably the most highly motivated foreign troops we've seen. Just as good as an American or Brit troops. Perhaps slightly better. Most of the European countries have joke armies.
@ServeHaShem And You Dshooboys are very good soldiers indeed or what. As seen in WW II.... And nowadays most european countries don't need an 80% BIP spending like Israel. Or RSA or We live in peace with each other, at least since your folks left our continent. Good luck when the Alibabas get really angry. Shalim Shalom.
@ServeHaShem Ummmm, how about you stop beating about the darned bush here, Sir, and just tell the world that the South African RECCEs were THE BEST damned reconnaissance guys IN THE WORLD. "Perhpas slightly better"? - STUFF YOU!
