i have a 2001 grand Caravan with 234000 km, the codes that I get are po700 and po755-shift solinoid B malfunction.. Will not go past 3rd gear on highway. I could call vehicle piece of crap, but I bought it used and have never had any major problems with it, and it is 10 years old. Qst,. Does anyone have an idea of what it will run me to get it fixed?

It is normal in a cvt transmission. Rpms decrase or increase as the cvt changes the torsion if we can call it that way. Its completely normal

I bought my Subi with 40k on it and they still gave me a 100k warranty. So far I had to replace a headlight, oil, and tires.... oh and the wiper fluid.

@MijitoPorQue Dodge uses Nissan (JATCO) transmissions in the Caliber, Patriot and Compass. Same as the Nissan Rogue.

I now this is an old post. But I'm gonna say that if your having problems with the CVT tranny, I think that the Caliber's are run from a belt, and that would probly be your problem. I'm sure you've had the problem fixed by now though.

Parts so far on my Caliber rear trailing arms,4 wheel bearings,front struts,tie rods, front ball joints,windshield seal, coolant reservoir,and a TPS.The car only has 60,000 on it what else is next.Also it eats tires before they hit 20,000 miles.

well...both gm and chrysler are having too many problems, they had to reduce costs to keep those companies alive... so that's hy those cars are failing... strongly recommend to you to buy a civic or a fusion (i've driven that car, it saves fuel and it's roomy, more than the caliber), or a european car...

My friend bought a Durango and within 3 weeks of owning it, it broke down to the point where they just scrapped it, got at most 75 bucks back from their 4500 they spent.
