manabe's tone and ambiance was fantastic with the mustang...that combined with the jangly sound of the thinline telecaster :D

too bad they decided to set that aside for the heinous sound they have today.

The guitar tones they used back then wouldnt apply as well to the songs Sawao is writing nowadays and vice-versa.

That aside, I like the older tones better too.
