  • A couple years later and I still can't believe how low TNA stooped!!

  • I only been to one TNA show and it was a house show. I loved it, I found it very fan orientated. They interact with them more then the fed. But unlike an indi show, there is production value and major stars. I think if you never been to a TNA show it is a must. A whole diffrent experience then a WWE Show for sure....It helped that I was 3 rows from the front.

  • I found this interesting, but Chris' cousin has no clue about wrestling compared to you guys.

  • driver should do something with his hair

  • catus champ

  • I'd have much preferred Steve Corino in TNA than Lashley

  • Keep up the good work on these shows guys. I look forward to them each week.

  • good video

  • Thanks!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Btw @Eric Santamonica: Are you the sixth member of the MEM?

  • I'm no midget

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • lmfao

  • do you mean seventh? MEM has six members, including Booker's wife.

    XD

Eric part of the MEM....wow, there's a way to get more viewers for the youtube show!!

  • Oh well... My bad xD

    Sharmell isnt even active dude.

  • just using wiki for references

  • Did you see Kevin Nash?... He was fuckin awesome... Comback of the year!! :P

  • I really thought it was going to be Taz he made some real suspicous remarks on his Facebook like "I don't mean to CROSS THE LINE with my comedy" so big suprise

  • im sorry, i meant to say that i think that you were right about the sting/foley match

  • forget you eric........but all and all i thought that the foley/sting match, but what is lethal lockdown

  • i seen the footage of kurt's reaction and it looked like the staff *aside from jarrett* was truly shocked that lashley debuted too.

  • I stop watching TNA but you have gotta be kidding me with Lashley showing up. What's next? Lesnar showing up with Sable.

  • A show noted to be the most "negative" wrestling show by many viewers, wanting to end their BLUUOUOUG on a happy note...

    what a humerous contradiction....

  • We'll be discussing that on the next Roundtable, no doubt, heh

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Question:

you guys didn't seem impressed with the way the Chamber matches were handled in NWO.

Now, Lockdown, if I am correct, has had cage matches in every match (correct me if I am wrong).

did the WWE elimination chamber matches become a big turn off to you guys? and if so, how did TNA got away with having cage matches all night?

  • Yes, that's a very interesting point and one we'll be addressing on the next show because I find how TNA handles their all cage PPV fascinating

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Guys could your hear Don West screaming... I mean calling matches from your seats? Lashley maybe will do one match I can't see him in TNA for too long (who knows) but it looked cool. Daniels =sooo underrated. A good TNA PPV and Impact! I'm conflicted, not sure I want to live in that world haha

  • haha, no, we were too far up. They were charging way too much for lower seats than we were willing to pay, heh. I don't watch TV, but I've heard that their recent TV shows have been described as 'good.' That sounds odd, doesn't it? heh

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • chris daniels has to be the tna mvp. he has been 3 very over characters yet he hasnt sniff the tna title.

  • or a TNA Shelton Benjamin

sorry if you may disagree, but after that pin against HHH the WWE missed big time not giving him a WHC push

the IC reign was good, but when they gave him the Mamma's boy gimmick.....

AND he's been doing crazy stuff in the MITB matches!

  • yeah, how many mitb matches is he going to kill himself and NOT WIN THE MATCH?!!!

  • I predict 3-6 more, but he'd won't win the title, get released because the creative team are promoting someone else and "don't have anything for him to do" and Shelton might go to TNA or *smirk* ROH

I laugh because ROH is most likely to give wrestlers of his skill better respect than the first 2

  • TNA Lockdown was better than Wrestlemania 25. Thats pretty awesome for them. Now hopefully keep it up

  • I like this show so far. Never had a chance to watch a couple, but now that I have. I truly enjoy watching you guys give your opinions and feedback on all of the wrestling shows and ppvs you saw. Which is interesting. Some I disagree, but there are some I agree. Keep it up. :)

  • Thanks a lot. Glad that you agree and disagree! Hopefully we can have good exchanges in the future, and thanks a lot. BTW, what's with the furries on your page? ha

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Cool. I would do that then. ;)

And it's because I am a furry. :P But, I'm also a diehard wrestling fan. Hope that doesn't affect anything. Just because I'm furry doesn't mean I can't watch wrestling. Been watching it around 93 and then 98 and hadn't stopped since. :) If you look at my earlier vids. It shows that my costume is a world wrestling champ. ;P

  • Oo stuff like that is better off kept private neways....

  • Heh. Well, if you don't like it. Then, that's fine. I like who I am and I like to watch wrestling. ;)

  • tna sucks ass period.the only reason its still around is because wwe has a shitty product 2 but its way better then t-n gay!!!

  • You say Foley is OLD, and he's younger than the guy he beat. Foley is 43. Sting is almost 50

  • yeah, but at least Sting's thinner and probably can handle himself more. I mean, Foley only had sporatic/ once every 2 years wrestling apperances.

  • Good point, but look on the bright side: at least it wasn't Danny Bonadouchebag

  • .........I have no idea who that is, but I assume I am better off not knowing

  • Danny Partridge, from Partridge Family fame

  • alright here are some key words:

    WWF/E smackdown 1999 - 2007

anything else outside this I have no clue about....I'll research wiki

  • Fuck wikipedia and start watching shit on YouTube

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • "reading wiki" too late XD

    "watching youtube"

I just saw him get a slap by Young!

now seeing him wrestle young at Lockdown.....

Oo geez, what a waste! Mankind vs Sting sounds a lot better

  • Lashley?!? WhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuckWhatthefuck?

  • personally i don't understand all the bitching about foley winning the belt. where was all the backlash (no pun intended :) when triple fucking h squashed orton at mania. i mean tna has done worse crap in the past. the only reason they probably put the belt on foley was to get people to talk. i mean he'll only be champ for short term. they'll give it to a young star like AJ or Joe next. right???

  • You obviously don't watch this show if you're wondering where all the bitching about HHH was, heh.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • i watch it lol. i just meant other people on youtube. i know you hate HHH lol. fucking 2nd time he fucks over someone at mania. first booker, now orton, who's next?

  • haha, ok, sorry about that :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • no problem.

  • funny you mention "who's next"..

  • *smirk*

the wrestling world will riot if a face Triple H defeats a face/heel Goldberg at a wrestlemania

  • No it wouldn't. They didn't when HHH did at SummerSlam 03. They SHOULD have, heh, but WWE made sure fans didn't care about Goldberg long before then, and maybe they didn't in the first place either.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • as I said, Wrestlemania! Summerslam is not exactly something to get pissy over...but Mania's like a big freakin deal.

but still, that brings a good point as well.

it's a shame the WWE handled Golberg...he's right to retire w/ one world heavyweight reign!! ^_^ and an undefeated record at Wrestlemania XD

  • SummerSlam is the second or third biggest show of the year, you're talking about it like it's a B-show

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I know it's part of the "Big Four"

but think about it: Wrestlemania = Superbowl of pro wrestling! It's like...the one pay per view you cannot fuck up! It's like..the Ending of a Movie, the big finale...

Summerslam's more like... (I am thinking about screenwriting terms) between Act I and Act II....it's an important area..but it's redeemable if it's a fuck up.

-_- unfortunately, the WWE doesn't think so, for they do have a fair number of wrestlemania fuck ups...*cough* 25.

  • Silver Addition my ass!!!

as I said before, thanks to Kid Rock concert, the Mania lives up to its acutal 24th anniversary theme: muscial instruments!! XD

  • yea lol I was just talkinf about that match alone, not the whole night, agree with the awsome kong statement didn't see that coming I was marking out when I seen that live in the arena

  • LOL I guess your right,us philly fans have to be nice every once in a while, overall last night was good abyss and matt morgan both got booed too, biggest pop from that match was STEVIE!!

  • Actually I thought Awesome Kong's flip bump got the biggest pop of the night, heh, sustained!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • lol awesome kong's flip ftw!

  • I didn't watch the event (I normally don't watch PPVs, which is weird of me) but Lashley signing with TNA is definitely a shocker. I really thought he was done with wrestling and will be doing MMA full time. Wonder why he signed back. Hmm.

Well, I'm actually excited for Thursday's iMPACT! for once. (Are they still calling it iMPACT! ? Cablevision is listing it as TNA Wrestling...)

  • BLOOOOOOOOOG. Don't you feel lashley's signing is just going to crap on current tna(not former wwe) talent. Lashley's signing though is shocking. Last year's lockdown was terrible but from what i read it was decent, but i just didn't like the dudleys or foley winning, it just felt like tna were cantering to the ecw crowd.

  • Felt like? They TOTALLY were, heh. ECW - well, old/real/original/bingo hall ECW anyway - was more over than TNA was! Last year's LockDown I thought was a good show too actually, esp. the great Angle/Joe main event and this year's was a similarly good show, except in the main event

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Lol it was kinda opposite, though i just didn't like the joe vs angle match, it felt odd. And did you hear mike tna's commentary, of course you didn't, but he said lashley was a former world title winner, so the ecw title is considered in tna as a major world title, lol.

  • Well, what's funny about that is the "WWECW/Fake ECW/whatever silver plate it is" title is actually MORE of a "world" title now than it was when it was the real/old/bingo hall ECW because it's defended on national TV more, on PPV, and in wider portions of the country in front of a larger audience than the real ECW ever had now, heh. Funny how that works, especially since it's treated lesser than the US title, ha.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • LOL, true, I just find it weird tna consider more prestigious than wwe do. TNA have a wrecked there title in a way, look at the current and former champ, both near enough amount to 100 hundred years old. wwe didn't even put the belt on wrestlemania because swagger/finlay was boring the little kids who didn't have there 500 finishers in the row type of thing. I thought swagger and finlay was pretty good, it could have been worse and hornswoggle got hit so that made me happy.

  • WCW was also better than ECW.

  • Yeah right. Unlike Vince and Bischoff, Heyman talked to the fans and asked them what they wanted. Vince and Bischoff TOLD them what they wanted.

  • Somehow I don't think fans were clamoring for a 6 month Justin Credible title reign, or Viscera in ECW.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • True, but I'd rather see Justin "Not So" Credible, than Botchus Magnus winning every week, when he does not even have as much talent as Kevin Nash (which says a lot)

  • I think the ECW title is treated lesser than the Hardcore Title AND IT'S DEFUNCT!!

at least the Hardcore Title (depite the fact you guys call it a joke) lived up to its name to be what the WWE calls it "extreme" -What the fuck ever

the ECW title hasn't had an ECW hardcore/or "EXTREME RULES e.e" of match since....Lashley winning in the Elimination Chamber!

In my view, I won't consider the ECW belt a real ECW title unless if it's given the same kind of matches the original ECW title had!

  • Oh give me a break. How the fuck is Crash Holly pinning someone in their hotel room while they sleep or Hurricane Helms losing to Molly Holly's frying pan hardcore? Of course the ECW title is a joke too, and it was never going to be like the old ECW so give up holding out hope that it's ever going to mean anything ; all you're doing it setting your self up for perpetual disappointment

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • meh good point..

still, there WERE some good moments..

    Undertaker's reign for one example....

and honestly, my "hope" is just wishful thinking...

I strongly believe that the WWE, whether they like it or not, should just had ONE world title! Once again wishful thinking...

as George Carlin once said... fuck hope XD!!!

unfortunately, I am a "mark" for optimism and big surprises

  • "How the fuck is Crash Holly pinning someone in their hotel room while they sleep or Hurricane Helms losing to Molly Holly's frying pan hardcore?"

key word: frying pan LOL I kid, I kid!

but seriously, I know that the WWE don't give a fuck about "hardcore". However, when they said that the ECW title is Extreme...they are telling the people that the title's different from other world titles, and it was! On the other hand, the WWE's basically lying and bullshiting the value of the ECW belt.

  • "...so give up holding out hope .... all you're doing it setting your self up for perpetual disappointment"

I pretty much did when Morrison won the title....

my bro who is anti-hardcore never let me hear the end of it.....

  • i once hated tna but i watched last thursdays show and this ppv and for once it looked auesome

  • PPV of the month.........

Come on now, you can't be serious. There were, in my opinion, 2 actually good matches on the card.

  • That's already 0.5 matches better than WrestleMania 25, ha

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I should probably post my disdain on the message board, but what the hell.

To be frank I don't think you can compare a show you were at, and a show that is on PPV.

The production values were complete garbage. They missed spots, and on the Street Fight they gave us two small screens to which you couldn't see anything.

    And the commentating was awful.

Over all I would put the PPV at a 6.5 rating.

  • Well of course we can compare them, heh. We've been to WrestleManias in person anyway - including last year - so it's not like we don't know the drill. Besides, we didn't have to sit through the crappy direction and awful commentary in the arena, so it was better :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Sure, you can comment on the wrestling between the two, but that is just a portion [While large] of what actually makes up a PPV. Having seen both Wrestlemania and Lockdown on PPV I have to say that Wrestlemania was superior.

  • Funny, I went to a wrestling show to see wrestling, but WM25 was better b/c why, they have a bigger set? I know there are production values involved in a show, any show, but the meat & potatoes - so to speak - is the wrestling. I don't give a shit how many looping logo screens & pyro shows go off if at the end of the night the wrestling is sloppy & boring. That was WM to me, & I enjoyed the matches better at TNA. They had nothing on UT/HBK level of course, but production was good in the arena

    -E

  • I never saw either show, and let me be the first to say that WWE wrestlemania 25 is on all level easy to oust!! for godsakes, the Backlash card looks better than Mania!!!

I saw the results on TNA Lockdown, and I can bet that you can tell me nothing on that show that was recycled within a year of that ppv, whereas the WWE has been using recycled material dating back YEARS ago!!

And like Eric said, the whole show as an epic mess (I wouldn't say failure because of the big "Marked" crowd)

  • I could : AJ Styles & Kevin Nash in the Lethal LockDown match & Abyss in his never ending series of hardcore garbage matches. To name two.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • versus

    Edge v Cena

    Orton v HHH

as you said before, Christian, kane, and shelton in the ladder match

at least the guys you mentioned are not main eventers (wait, are they???)

  • Russo must have been fired.TNA is getting awesome

  • *checking wiki* nope, he's still there...

  • Damn. Then how come TNA is getting awesome

  • you tell me! I never watch their show!

but I can point out so possible factors:

    1) Russo' s losing power in the writing staff....or growing a brain

    2) WWE is SO bad, somehow TNA looks a lot better

    3) Dumb luck , second wind....might not last long

  • I really enjoyed Lockdown except fot the Main Event.

It was fun, it was about actual Wrestling and I really liked...

  • Lashley will be working a full schedule for TNA alongside his current MMA commitments said Lashley, Jarrett & Dixie Carter. Ive just read that on the the UK Sun wrestling page website.

  • I pretty much agree with what you said guys. I really enjoyed the undercard and no so much the main event.

  • Thanks!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • On the surface the net writers are treating the Lashley debut as just another PPV return. However, I think this is a huges tory. Although we'll be going into more detail on future shows, what do you all think of its meaning?

  • If that's what they're doing, they're pretty fuckin short sighted. This could be huge for TNA is he still fights. Not that MMA companies want to be associated with pro wrestling in any way unless a former wrestler is fighting and NOT still wrestling, maybe this could change that. If Lashley was able to fight, for example, for someone, even StrikeForce, with TNA on his tights, that'd be great rub n pub. for them, and would probably push Angle to finally make the leap

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • To say nothing of him being the first young ex-WWE guy that they were really behind to leave and end up in TNA. Like we said in the car off camera, they're probably going to be really reluctant to let people go so quickly and easily now too

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I can't help but wonder how much seeing a show live effects one's opinion. Sting/Foley was a stinker now that I've had some time to reflect, but Lethal Lockdown match was great fun and the TNA tag title match had huge heat. Philly or not, if it came across that way on TV....does that help make the PPV stronger?

  • It could go either way. We didn't have to hear the terrible commentary, but then I read that Sting/Foley did a lot of stuff for the visuals of the camera, which is lost on us up in the cheap seats, heh. The match still sucked probably, as we saw it, but that might have lessened the suck factor. I like seeing it live, not having to be beholden to a crappy director's camera cuts(which TNA is also guilty of) & screaming goofy shit :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • BLOG!

  • by the way it was a good show def the best show of the month. no match touched micheals taker but i didnt expect any to. bobby lashley was rly cool they kept a suprise wasnt thinking of him at all. and at the time it was cool that foley won im a big foley mark. but then i realized this guys there champion haha i dont rly want sting to be the champion either though. you talk about wwe same guys main eventers i think tna is worse a young guy def should be champion

  • Absolutely, and the whole 'old guys at the top' thing is something we're going to address when we do the next Roundtable recapping this very show. It is pretty ridiculous that they pretty much just hand over Foley the title two matches in to his TNA run.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Absolutely, and the whole "old guys on top in this company too" thing is something we'll be addressing in the next Roundtable, recapping this show. It is pretty ridiculous that they hand over Foley their world title two matches in to his TNA run(two unspectacular matches from what I gather, no less).

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • off subject but i was just wondering where you guys are from it seems like we go to all the same ppvs. royal rumble 2004 wrestlemania 20 last night. im from south philly.

  • We're from NJ. Can't wait to see UFC 101 in Wachovia!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • YEAH JERSEY! Represent! *beats chest with fist*

  • WEST SYEEED CALI!! B-P

    \X/

    4-0-8

  • I marked out hard when Angelina won the woman's title

best matches was dudleys v. beer money and foley v. sting

  • Sweet!

  • you guys liked this show yet diss wrestlemania?..the diva battle royal was better then everything on this shitfest of a ppv...i cant believe i spent 3 hours watching this horrorfest of a so called wrestling show...hopefully you only enjoyed it cause you were there...cause on ppv it did not come off good at all...now i see that u guys are just your basic internet "critics" that hate pretty much everything wwe while you search for something else to like even though its pretty much all shit.

  • First of all, YOU'RE(not 'your') so right, you got us totally figured out. NOW you see us for what we are! We say absolutely NO positive things about WWE, ever, because we're basic, critics, & we think everything else is perfect simply because it's not WWE. Yes, that's a perfect description of us.

Why the fuck do you even watch us then?

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • why do i even watch you..i'm beginning to wonder that myself..i guess its like a bad car wreck. Maybe if u watched wwe's product with the same open mind as you do some of this other shit you would actually enjoy it rather then searching for shit to dump on. The fact that u liked this shitfest of a show and shit all over mania just completely destroyed all your credibility. Not that you ever had any to begin with. fuckin pitiful.

  • Never had credibility? Guess you work in wrestling too, dumb shit(Not that it matters much anyway). Tell you what, go give undeserved credit elsewhere and get the fuck off our account, asshole

    -E, Wrestling Rpundtable

  • may I advise you to watch their video about future monday night wars and you'll see that they do bad mouth WWE as well as other wrestling companies.

Eric himself even told me that CZW is also bad! These people don't just hate WWE! even though most of their topics are about WWE.

In fact, if you watched best/worse wrestlemanias they ACTUALLY state which WWE wrestlemanias they actually like!

and they are right to diss wrestlemania! it had one of the worse cards in PPV and mediocre matches

  • Very cool

  • Thanks! :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • even though I never seen the match, and I am aware that wrestling matches are fixed, etc etc

I'll officially stop dissin Mick Foley's monicker for Hardcore Legend for the fact he won a world title, one on one in a cage...something I have never seen him do since watching WWF/E in 99...

Lashley in TNA??? Let's see if he'd be the next "Christian" and I mean being in the undercard despite how many fans loved him like the WWE's doing right now...

    GO DUDLEY BOYZ!!

  • foley might not seem a good idea but its a smart buisness move. we may wanna see great matches but your average fan wants to same name vs name. and when more word gets out about mick foley being the champion in another wrestling organisation it should draw more fans in

  • Rather innovative to have the blog while driving.

  • LOL

    Wrestling Roundtable going mobile!!

  • In women in wrestling, there is a female wrestler named Isis that tours the South East. She is a legit 6'10" and has a lot of power, very young though. I have just procured rights to manager her. Check her out, she won't be on the indies for long. She is an awesome sight.

  • I have no clue why you think saying blog in that manner is funny, but I assure you. It's not.

  • Yeah, like that's gonna stop me

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Oh I know. But you need to be aware. Uber annoying.

  • So is the word "blog" on the first place. I hate having to say such a queer word, hence the exaggeration, so there

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I wonder how he feels about the word "BRAND" !!!

  • :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • i didnt like the lashly thing only cause i liked him in MMA lol, but maybe he'll do both as you said

  • Yeah, I'm very curious to find out what this means for his MMA career, which I was enjoying too

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I'll die of laughter if not only Lashley manages duo careers in MMA and TNA, but wins heavyweight titles in both areas, at the same time!

Oo would that qualify as undisputed champion?? LOL

  • haha, it better!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I mean I was there live too and the atmosphere wasn't like a normal philly wrestling event like a south philly ecw arena one,I mean know it wasn't in the ecw arena still its a philly crowd

  • the way tna built up to the ppv was fantastic i really enjoyed although i did'nt buy this ppv because the last ppv was dissapointing would anyone recommend buying it now

  • also where was the hostile philly crowd the whole night???

  • During the Sting/Foley match they were both booed in equal amounts, heh, but what's so bad about not being dicks for a night? :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • The show was decent, but not better than Mania IMO. The women's matches sucked and so did Foley winning. For every good thing they do, they do some stupid shit that kills it. Lashley was a surprise, but still worthless. I did like both tag matches and the X division match. Lethal Lockdown had good spots, but was decent overall at best.

  • WHO WHO G.L.O.R.Y.

  • I love how you said Blog!

  • Thanks, let that other guy 'destor' know ;)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Mick Foley as TNA Champion - now that was a shocker, who saw that coming?

  • sure as hell not me!

  • The crowd seemed dead for the most part in the Sting/Foley match & it was dissapointing however i do still think they had a decent match as they told a good story in the ring but like i said it was dissapointing because like most people i thought Foley would have took a big bump off the cage. Foley as champion i have no problem with personally but i can see how some people might. With Lashley now on board TNA has a plethora of star talent.

  • I'm glad ya'll had a good time. As a viewer I can't lower my wrestling standards to big up that same ol shit ppv. Was not really entertaining to me at all. But that's just me.

  • Well, frankly, if it wasn't in our area and was on PPV somewhere else, I wouldn't have ordered it. I'd have been interested in the Foley/Sting match enough to watch it on the internet afterwards heh, but TNA has a good track record of live shows in the northeast

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • HOW WAS DANNY BONNADUCE

  • Believe it or not, I thought he did real well! He had the most heel heat the entire night - a big, over heel reaction - he moved well enough, esp. for a celebrity, and the segment generally worked. I think it def. should have been on the PPV itself

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Nice vid guys. Lashley's return will be interesting to see how it plays out and how TNA will use him.

  • Yes, very interesting, and thanks!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • TNA i always thought was pretty crappy so i dont even bother watchin their ppvs but shit they signed Lashley now?! Now maybe they'll kno how to use him n not fuck it up. I hope TNA becomes a heavyweight against wwe n starts up some reel competition so vince will actually start puttin on some better shit on raw n not the same ol stale crap like the past 5 years but i doubt it.

  • I don't know, maybe being there live made it seem better, but to me, watching this on tv, I felt like I was just watching an extended edition of Impact. Stipulation overkill aside, it was hard keeping track of what was going on because the camera view kept changing EVERY FIVE SECONDS. Come on, I'm trying to watch a wrestling match. That really turned me off. There were some things that didn't make sense. And Lashley? Really? This is the big surprise? 5 out of 10.

  • I was expecting an old WCW guy to apear at LockDown. Though, do you guys think that he'll work more of an MMA style in TNA, then he did in the WWE, where they made him look more a domint force type of wrestler?

  • I sincerely hope so, cause he sucked as a wrestler before, ha. He's absolutely athletic, even as roided up as he is, but he was also very bland and sloppy, wrestled like a stiff, never incorporated his amateur background as far as I could remember, and the highlight of his in ring career was the cage/plancha spot against Umaga. So yes, I hope he doesn't go back down to "suck" in my radar after bringing it up to "cool" status via MMA ;) ha

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I hated it when Lashley opted the Dominator for the Spear and powerslam...

Lashley had a good technical skill going, but then later on turns into a brawler??

you might as well take Batista and turn him black....

  • LOL at the Batista comment. My only real beef with Lashley is that he can't really cut a promo. He kind of sounds like a black Jack Swagger when he talks

  • Oo sorry, but he sound soft next to Swagger...and I honestly do not like it when he talks either...it's like listening to "the gentle giant" ugh!!

I think he's one of those wrestlers that needs a manager to be his mouth piece the roundtable discussed

and it's True!! I find myself semi impressed with his new arsenal. Spear and Powerslam...whoopie, skip!! Whatabout the DOMINATOR??

Makes me wonder if WWE force wrestlers to do certain moves and have certain finishers

  • and when I mean "certain moves" i mean they force a guy like Lashley to leave his "technical" skills for the powerhouse/brawler skills

BUT I dunno myself..leave it to the roundtable to answer that question.

  • Well, WWE certainly does control what moves and style their wrestlers have - or allow them to have. They've taken a lot of good wrestlers and changed their styles around to suit their own vision - or political motivations - so this case, Lashley's moves were probably a combination of their suggestions and his ability.

  • they control stories, matches, gimmicks, and movesets.......

what does the WWE DO NOT control??

just when I thought pro wrestling is scripted on specific parts... it turns out that the saying "everything" is scripted actually means EVERYTHING is scripted....

this is why I like ur show, I learn new stuff every time....even though some I should know by now

  • Thank you yes hands down TNA had the best ppv of THIS month. Alot more entertaining than WM25 that's 4 sure. N I was so happy for watching LOCKDOWN. But yes Mick as champion has to sink in 1st

  • I don't really care that Mick Foley went over i haven't really liked Sting since WCW i did not see the show but i had a good idea that the "former champion" was going to be Lashley i had heard here and there it was ether going to be him or Taz and the former not being active i like i said had a good idea who it was going to be

  • Really. Cause I didn't hear Lashley's name mentioned anywhere at all, didn't even enter my mind either

  • Lashley? Do you honestly think that he could manage a respectable MMA career and Pro wrestle at the same time?

  • No, heh. But I guess we'll find out what his deal is soon. I don't see how he could, but IF he could pull that off, that's very cool

  • If Bobby Lashley only works Impacts & PPVs thats 5 day tops a month that Lashley would have to wrestle. So he probably could be sucsessful in TNA & MMA.

  • Yeah, but the problem of course is the wear & tear from wrestling, risk of being injured, and vice versa of course. Hope he can pull it off with that roided up physique

  • Josh Barnett another HW MMA fighter. Still is involved in Japanese Pro Wrestling shows while training for MMA. Plus the fights that Lashley has signed right now are against big Heavyweights. Mike Cook and Bob Sapp. The Sapp fight will make Bobby have to weigh in at close to 266 as its going to be a Super Heavyweight bout. I think if Barnett can do shows in NJPW and still compete in MMA at a high level, I think Bobby can as well, b/c of how much younger he is.

  • nice video BLUUGH!! guys, keep up the good work.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • This show was one of the worst 3 hours I have ever spent watching wrestling. LL was ok and BMI/3D was good everything else blew.

  • Foley Matched sucked giving him the belt is like giving Piper the belt again will leave a bad taste in your mouth but happy for him, Abyss has done better, Knockout championship match wasn't good. Lashley was a good surprise. I want to know who Joe was talking to backstage so Impact maybe good.

  • We could barely see who was on the screen at the arena and couldn't hear anything anybody said, what was the deal there?

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Watching it on T.V. they didn't tell you anything they just played it up like who is Joe talking to. We didn't even hear there voices so don't know maybe Taz or someone else going to TNA.

  • Joe seemed to be receiving instructions from someone that was hidden from view right before he came out to the ring.

I've heard it speculated that when he hit the ring the suplexes that he was hitting were very Taz-esque, which may indicate some kind of relationship between Joe & Taz, if the former ECW champion is indeed coming to TNA.

  • apparently sources are saying that it was taz and he'll make his debut this week. a couple of hints were joe wearing his black towel to the ring and the amount of tazplexes he was doing when he got there

  • So Joe, by being in the mere presence of Taz, inherits his fighting spirit and channels them in to his moveset? Or did Joe say to him, "As thanks for the towel, I will do some moves to make you snicker in the back cause they're your moves. It'll be an inside joke between you & me" ha
