Personally I think it would be a fantastic tourist area even for kufr. Having lived there for 2 years as a child, I fell in love with the country's incredible deserts, beautiful sea shores, and wonderful cultures (especially bedhoin culture and ways of the desert).

SANG units, according to the US Marine ANGLICO & SF units who faught with them, performed extremely bravely once they got their troops into the city. Granted they had help from US air and artillery support, but they were the main force retaking Khafji showing that SANG was not a simple pampered paper tiger for rich Saudi kids connected to the royal family. The entire Saudi military also has developed vastly since then.
