Apparently the NDAA was passed in the House in June. Ron Paul participated in that initial vote. Also, the vote you are speaking of took place on the day of a debate. Isn't that a bit more important? He was also practically guaranteed a "no" vote from his son in the Senate. Just thought I'd mention that... not trying to start any kind of argument.
I was thinking of something Ted on this while Paul no voting against the NDAA, but I'm surprised that no one asked this question why didn't Rand Paul vote against this. There is entirely too much emphasis put on the "office of the Presidency". Honestly. Built into our Constitution and our political structure are bedrock protections against what we left England for! We didn't want to be ruled, particularly by a King or Queen. So why heap more power on the office than exists? Ron Paul, if elected will face the same things Obama has.

@MacabreHeritage He did not vote on the final bill that went to the president for his signature. And being against the NDAA is meaningless. IF the constitution means anything (it doesn't) then the portion applicable to citizens would be unenforceable and null. In any case President Paul cannot, on his own, do anything about the NDAA.
I don't think President Paul (if he were for real) could do anything of consequence to be honest, it's too far gone. However, if he's as furious about NDAA as he would have people believe, he would have travelled to vote against it's passage instead of campaigning in Iowa. I imagine you'd have a better handle on it, as i don't live in America, am i wrong? The opposing vote would've endeared the Cult of Paul though it wouldn't have meant anything.

I totally agree with you. I wasn't referring to paperwork or anything like that. It's more of a mentality and lifestyle. The way you act, handle "authority" and just flat out see the world. Simply "knowing" who you are and where you come from dissolves the fear most people get when encountering "authority" and thus your behavior changes and the outcome changes too. Eventually they leave you alone and find easier prey. At least, that's my experience.

Apparently the NDAA was passed in the House in June. Ron Paul participated in that initial vote. Also, the vote you are speaking of took place on the day of a debate. Isn't that a bit more important? There is entirely too much emphasis put on the "office of the Presidency". Honestly. Built into our Constitution and our political structure are bedrock protections against what we left England for! We didn't want to be ruled, particularly by a King or Queen. So why heap more power on the office than exists? Ron Paul, if elected will face the same things Obama has.

IF the constitution means anything (it doesn't) then the portion applicable to citizens would be unenforceable and null. In any case President Paul cannot, on his own, do anything about the NDAA.

However, if he's as furious about NDAA as he would have people believe, he would have travelled to vote against it's passage instead of campaigning in Iowa. Well he woke me up to a lot of issues, especially with Terrorstorm. I don't think anyone can say they didn't get something from listening to AJ. I agree, he's done some shady shit, but you don't know the back story as to why he's overly paranoid and thinks everyone is an op He's dealt with many ops in the past and now he's jaded. Regardless, everyone brings a different piece of the puzzle to the table. It wouldn't do any good if every one had the same piece.

I can't argue with that too much but the responsibility really falls on the listeners to figure that out. But ultimately, don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. I find it a far better approach to show people how to use discernment rather than attack someone for a 1% of the issues because without discernment, you just throw out the 99% along with it.

I have absolute rights, with zero need to make "legal" claims via somebody else's failed corporate contract that "allows" a minimal peasantry existence inside corporate courts. Secondly, the United States corporation is located in the District of Columbia, therefore, the NDAA only affects Federal Employees...or those ignorant and INSIDE that legal construction.

I totally agree with you. I wasn't referring to paperwork or anything like that. It's more of a mentality and lifestyle. The way you act, handle "authority" and just flat out see the world. Simply "knowing" who you are and where you come from dissolves the fear most people get when encountering "authority" and thus your behavior changes and the outcome changes too. Eventually they leave you alone and find easier prey. At least, that's my experience.
