Here's what I got from this video: Don't hang around with people that don't belong to the same cult as you. Doing so puts you in danger of being in touch with reality. Reality = Bad. Delusion = Good.
I married a non believer and it was extremely hard to keep strong in my faith. It wan't until I had put my foot down in Christ and decided to take a stand to become stronger in Christ and more prayer for my hsband. I won't say it is easy, it is really hard, but has made me spiritually stronger.
@thedestroy3r you missed what he said a little bit before the video started. he isnt saying to do these things, he is saying this is HOW you lose your faith.. ik, had me a little bit like "uuhhh"
@Shadow78954 I'm proud to be a "Bible Thumper". Also, Craig is funny. But, most of what he said in this video wasn't meant to be funny. It's called "sarcasm".
I know a way to be atheist, since I'm almost one, realize that Religion, and their stories are nothing but myths, and then realize that myths might or might not be true, or think that myths are never true.
@angeltears6478 So... Exactly where do you get your facts from? Who said they were myths? The Bible was written by eye witnesses. Do you believe that The Declaration of Independence is real? It was signed by eye witnesses, but there are no pictures. What about all the history throughout the world that you don't even question? What makes the story of Jesus any different? You see miraculous events daily and take them for granted. Stop and look around. Open your heart and mind.
@ipodfreek As far as I know, the Bible wasn't written by eye witnesses, if that was the case, then who watched the creation of the earth? The Bible from what I heard was actually created thousands of years after the fact (at least with the new testament) And myth doesn't necessarily mean that it's not true. A myth is a story that may or may not be true.
@angeltears6478 My apologies. I wasn't specific with my words. When I refer to eye witnesses I'm referring to what is commonly known as "The Gospel" or "The Good News".... the story of Jesus. The New Testament was written directly from eye witnesses. The Old Testament was written by God, through the people he communicated with (think Moses, Noah, and others). Have a great day. :)
@ccsniper I meant thousands of years after the events taken place in the Bible happened. If I remember correctly, the Bible was spoken from generation to generation before finally being written down.
@angeltears6478 parts were, parts of the old testament like the earliest part of Genesis. which is also the shortest part of genesis. But everything else was pretty much put down within (most likely) a hundred years. or less especially the NT.
Notice how the News media is counting on Christians to be "Moderate Christians", like they expect Muslims to be "Moderate Muslims". You're either on fire for God or you're not.
The term "Cultural Christian" is an oxymoron. Either you're a Christian or you're not. Jesus said those who are lukewarm will be rejected. REAL Christians aren't rejected by God. Those who aren't Christians WILL be rejected -- thus evidencing the nonexistence of "Cultural" or "Carnal Christians".
@Kevbox2008 Yeah, he's not saying that "Cultural Christians" are actual Christians. I've read his book, and he just refers to people that say their Christians just because they were raised to believe it or something. In other words, they go to church, go to sunday school, claim to be a Christian, but there's no actual relationship with Jesus Christ.
@elhombre2010 I wonder why there's no relationship with Christ. I stayed in the church waiting for answers or something, anything, but I was left waiting. I never deluded myself into thinking something real at all in the holy spirit or connection with jesus ever happened. I also thought people were stupid for praying to a God that already knows everything. It turns out in the end I had a greater desire to believe the truth than to believe their assertions.

My theory about Craig Groeschel:
A. Craig Groeschel only makes sense to me when I drink coffee.
B. Therefore, Craig Groeschel preaches while on mountains of caffeine.
Thumbs up if you agree.
